Sunday stout. Impy stout from Windmill Hill. 7.7% tasty, malty but lacking body for a beer of this strength. Also actively fizzy which is a bit odd
Sunday evening sorted. Malty, lots of toffee and caramel but not horribly sweet. Not a big aroma. Thinner body than I was expecting for a big abv. Worryingly drinkable a beer that could take your legs from under you. If you see one suggest you grab it.

This evening's entertainment with thanks to #ChrisGooch. Bit lively but that gives a creamy thick head. It's very interesting. The bergamot comes through. Quite woody and almost cloves. The pears are definitely present. Keeps giving a range of flavours i can't quite place
The roof terrace is well worth the step climb up the stairs. Can recommend the stout too
Venue for tonight's meeting the brewer. Beats the upstairs room of a pub
First 4.5 litres of damson gin of the year seems to have worked well. Tomorrow will defrost the remaining fruit from the freezer and make some more

So the run in to xmas starts with the first of several visits to farm shops and garden centres over the next few weeks
We have barking esp at squirrels and cats and burying of toys but otherwise reasonably chilled
On friday I dropped beer at Darlington Snooker club. Amazing place 8 taps on the bar further 8 in the lounge and 20+ more for beer fests. Also the largest pump clip collection I've seen in a bar. Beer fest in a couple of weeks if you want to pop in
Can't beat a bit of homework from work. 7.4% conditioned in whisky casks. Very drinkable hides the strength well.
