HISTORIAN of the Holocaust and the USSR. Filmmaker and Slayer of Antisemitism, Holocaust Denial and other Trolls.
Really good and accurate depiction of Postwar Japan occupied by the US, in that the US Occupation Authorities are deferential to the Japanese. Having Charles Melton be a Korean American GI was a nice touch. Also the poster is a good example of the rule of 3rds #Historianatthemovies
Also watching this Korean film "I can speak". Despite the usual cliches of "American Imperialism" this actually depicts the reality where the US is caught between the ongoing problems between Japan and South Korea. See Trump's recent statements with Sanae Takaichi.
The honor and privilege of being a scholar is building on what others have done and taking it further.
The short version - Japan offered an apology and compensation to *some* surviving victims in the 90s - PM Abe Shinzo reversed this in 2007 - Japan and SK reached an agreement in 2015 that wasn't extended to other victims - after this Japan pressured other countries to block memorials
I'm proud to have spoken about this issue of Japan's denial of WW2 crimes and how Japan's policy of Denial and the use of "Tsuganai" eerily mirrors the German Policy of "Wiedergutmachung".
Luke 16: 29-31. There comes a time where you have to understand that some people just don't want help.
Don't see why the Swastika tattoo and lack of accountability weren't dealbreakers. Actually I do.
I successfully gave my lecture and connected with several respected Academics. I destroyed the Antisemitic myth of Jews "profiting" off 'reparations' and also gave a voice to the victims of Imperial Japan. This is just the beginning.
Visited the Auschwitz Memorial for research and content, and to prepare for a lecture on the Holocaust that I'll be giving this Saturday in Krakow, Poland.
Great game so far. I remember what my Mentor taught me about FBI agents needing to be smart but that's not stopping me from enjoying some classic Resident Evil.
February 27 is the anniversary of the London Debt Agreement. Not only did the West forgive half of all German debt, but the London Debt Agreement also absolved Germany of Reparations for the Survivors of the Holocaust. Remember that no one is "hijacking" or "weaponizing" the Holocaust. #Historian
I started writing in 2018, with my First Screenplay Do Not Divide The Dead (the USSR's censorship of the Holocaust). 8 years later I'm going to give a lecture about How survivors were cheated out of Reparations. The journey was long, but I'm happy to be here. #Historian #Holocaust #Screenwriting
Not new year's day but still managed to finish one in January 2026. Still where I want to be.
Resident evil has always had iconic and cool Female Characters since the 90s. It's the premiere gaming series about Horror and has always pushed the limits. Lady D. Is just following tradition.
No hacks or fluff or snide comments/commentary needed. Just data and objective observations based on reliable sources #Historian
I found a typo in the San Francisco Treaty that gave Japan independence. Even historic international treaties aren't immune from spelling or grammar errors.
Reminder 1) The Nazis chose and in many cases *liked* what they were doing. They never faced any threat or consequence for refusing orders 2) modern equivalents (ICE etc) do what they do because they like it. They're empowered by a worldview, and culture that allows them to be their true selves.
From the San Francisco Treaty of Peace between the Allied Powers and Japan, submitted to the UN and available on their website. Even Sweeping foreign Policy decisions and documents are not immune from Typos, so don't worry about them too much. 'Overeign'
