Oh and look at who they're testing this garbage nobody wants on. Look whose children are being subjected to it first. Because of course.
My contribution is about how surprisingly helpful I found #TheSevenDeadlySins to be for combating seasonal depression. I hope you like it! It's an honor to have been included in such a prestigious publication.
Twenty-six years ago today, a generation was introduced to #TenchiMuyo via #Toonami on July 3rd, 2000.🥹 Happy anniversary to all who observe. ⛩️👹🥕🚀🚨😎
I have no idea why, but the cadence of Elmo's apology vid reminded me of one of the first YouTube™️videos I ever watched.... 'Even tho it might be true, or it might be not true!'
Think about how much vaccine misinformation there's been (causing "unnecessary fear" in communities), how many baseless claims of election fraud there were (which incited violence and murder), and that's all fine... ...but look how swiftly they act when something messes with billionaire profits.
The 'everyone is using AI' line is big 'any man who must say I am the king is no true king' energy. If that were true, it would go without saying. Instead, every sweaty CEO and the punditry class leeching off of them feel they have to say some variation of this literally every other day.
One of a million AI slop YouTube channels that I usually ignore, but I just wanna see how long it takes for this particular tidbit to wind up in a 'history' book, or at least for someone posting online™️to be confidently wrong about it.
If paperwork doesn't make you an American, and (if certain people get their way) being born here doesn't make you an American...what does? What could they possibly mean??? I guess there's no way to know! It's a mystery what they want. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (But don't call it racism, it's totally not that.)
Gonna step away from this topic for a while, for my own sanity, but it all boils down to this. The angriest, most insecure of us are gonna give it all away--their rights, their grandchildren's futures, all of it--just to maintain a collective delusion that they're better than certain people.
I've no doubt they'd be saying the same thing for a law requiring public classrooms to hang framed passages from, say, the Quran, yessir, no doubt about it. 🙃 assets.aclu.org/live/uploads...
And here it is, Chapter 6! Excellent work, @evilpii.bsky.social! Thank you for such a detailed review of 30 yo #TenchiMuyo comics that still have something to say today. (There were STILL things I hadn't noticed!) evilpii.com/blog/review-...
tfw you have SAD and genuinely feel better in winter now but know the underlying reason is bad for the entire planet.
Didn't follow them, but they kept showing up in my Discover feed anyway. Fair enough, but I remember they kinda sorta used to write articles? Now it's just 'update youre iphone NOW!!1!' and......this.
A million thoughts racing while reading this, but I guess one impression I'll share is how...infantile it is. Grown adults thinking they should be able to vote for someone, anyone, to 'own the libs' but nothing REALLY bad should come of their decisions. Mommy will step in at SOME point, right?
Not gonna lie, Hiroshi Negishi, director of Tenchi Universe, gushing over a Tenchi release that I had a hand in making happen is a dream come true.🥹 x.com/tsukumotakum...
The guy too out of shape for the military and too psychologically unstable for the police after eight weeks of training with zero background checks:
Cartoonishly evil, but this is somehow a morally ambiguous issue in this country.
'I'll just lay out the facts for them, and--' Yeah? Has that worked before? Even if it did, on ONE person you know well, do you have time to sit down to coffee with EVERYONE we need on board? With political movements, you're not dealing with a rational person. You're dealing with, well, people.
