Blessed clouds enabled me to go for a cliff walk here in E. Sussex - nice breeze but very humid. I was accompanied by loads of butterflies/moths, which is great to see. This beauty, a Jersey Tiger moth, landed on my trousers - lovely black and white but a surprise of orange when it flew away.

Watched The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare on BBC iplayer. I very much enjoyed it - if you liked SAS Rogue Heroes, you'll love this too. To give him his credit, I didn't realise it was a Guy Ritchie film until the end. It's only on iplayer for another week, so make the most of it. Recommended.

It's amazing how cool you can keep a house if you just close blinds/curtains on south facing windows, and only open north/east facing windows if the breeze (which thankfully we have today) is cooler than the air in the room. It gets harder once the heat racks up and over a few days, obvs. #Heatwave
