Beyond tariffs, inflation, and war, one of Trump's big economic problems is people don't tolerate him as much in a non zero interest rate (ZIRP) environment (like in his first term)
Lmao, England's coach trying to explain why he switched to a 1-4-5 prevent defense and lost to Argentina

The Trump curse continues. The Knicks owner invites him to watch the game and they lose at home after winning twice in San Antonio.
This is a really informative and well done visual by @upshot.nytimes.com
I would also argue that Americans are not used to both goods and services inflating together, we've had decades of services inflation being partly counteracted by goods deflation, and consumer sentiment really tanked when both occurred.

Young adults (25-39) were twice as likely to carry student debt in 2022 vs 1992
When we have a discussion about "vibes", it should be noted that the worst of the "vibecession" occurred when *both* goods and services inflated. It made it seem like everything was going up in a way that we didn't feel when just services were going up.
Spending money on the Iran War is unpopular. It is really unpopular when tied to domestic spending cuts.
I love when pollsters, like Patrick, just completely ignore their own surveys findings. Good luck lol

So far, the counties that have fully reported in Wisconsin have shifted 19 to 26 points to the left.
The shifts are big everywhere in Wisconsin, but particularly so in Trump won counties
Sort of a funny pattern how the jobs report has alternated between adding jobs and losing them since May 2025.
