The United Methodist Church’s values are founded on the teachings of John Wesley, which are well-summarized here. Personally, I don’t really feel very spiritual or religious these days, but I love being part of — and raising my son within — a community that really lives out these values.
Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 Last year my family marched with our local United Methodist Church, and I’m excited to do so again this year! One of the great lies of American Christianity is that most churches say you have to choose between being “inclusive” and being “faithful.” But that’s just not true.
