Joshua Hunter tough to separate out the trolls from the real peeps. Fresh milk is safe to drink. You always need to be aware of the source, however, as any food product can make you ill if it was produced poorly or handled poorly.

Joshua Hunter if you buy pasteurized milk from Whole Foods, it's different than buying pasteurized milk from a party store that keeps the fridge at the wrong temperature. So you're asking for a strict comparison that's not easy to make because things are different. Your question presumes a lot.

In Michigan, the system includes 149 emergency departments and 109 urgent care facilities, representing approximately 99% of emergency departments and 15-30% of urgent care facilities* statewide. The number of contributing facilities may have varied over the time period of this analysis. Facilities are continually onboarded, there are temporary data feed interruptions and health system-level disruptions, or facility closures may occur. As a result, facility participation and data completeness can vary.

These data are limited to individuals who seek care at participating facilities and therefore may not be representative of the overall population. Estimates are also influenced by the variability in testing practices and the use of discharge diagnosis codes across facilities.

These data differ from what is presented on our public dashboards. Public-facing syndromic surveillance dashboards include emergency department visits only, which better reflect the burden of respiratory viruses on the healthcare system. When urgent care data are included, the proportion of discharge diagnoses is higher, reflecting the high utilization of urgent care settings for acute illnesses of lower severity.

COVID is still killing and taking the best of us.

In October, Josh suddenly contracted Covid, and his rapid breathing became problematic. He was rushed to the hospital but expected to come home after IV infusion and oxygen. Like a yo-yo, Josh’s health issues went up and down.

Josh was hospitalized for nearly a month. He came through heart valve replacement surgery but then another blood infection set in. It was a downward spiral and Josh’s body couldn’t tolerate the continued onslaught. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
