A pair of CR450AF & BF spotted testing on the Shandong section of the soon to open Xiongshang HSL last week. The CR450 series are planned to operate at a revenue speed of up to 400kph on the Chongqing-Chengdu Central HSL, the world's fastest conventional HSR service.

Lishan Station of Shenzhen Metro Line 27 Phase I shuts down a road to build a cut and cover station made of prefabricated sections. Line 27 Phase I is a 26km long 21 station project that started construction in mid-2024 and is expected to open in 2029.
Shenyang Metro Line 3 Phase I is a 38km long E-W crosstown line serving 28 stations. It has a significant elevated section in the west Shenyang suburbs while the recently opened city center section runs underground. Line 3 Phase I costs 145 million INT$/km to construct and uses 6 car Type B trains.

On 30 June 2026, Shenyang Metro Line 3 East Section opened. This 14 km 13 station extension extended Line 3 underground under Shenyang's city center. This extension pushes the 15 year old Shenyang Metro to 218 km long. Video by 巷光Metro.
Shanghai Metro Line 21 trains being delivered. They are the 1st Shanghai Metro trains using drum cross sections (budge in the middle of the carbody like post-JNR commuter rolling stock). It also uses half height stanchions reminiscent of Beijing Subway L1 SFM04 series and has half width cabs.
On 1 July 2026, Hefei Metro Line 7 Phase I opened. The fully underground southern tangential line is 18.9km with 14 stations. The line uses fully automated 6 car Type B trains and costs 240 million INT$/km to construct. The 9 year old Hefei Metro is now 276km long.

On 30 June 2026 New Taipei City opened the Sanying Light Metro Line. The line is fully elevated and loves to swiggle between dense midrises of suburban New Taipei, particularly around the National Taipei University. The Taipei–Keelung metropolitan area metro system is now 203km long.
