Why red-orange & black for the Land Of Nod? To keep the 1930s vibe of the B&W comics I went back to the source for inspo! To cut costs, some strips back then were printed in 2 colour with the cheapest of red inks… low quality vermilion chosen for its price and opaque coverage. go.blackeye.ca/nod

I finally got to homage the great Harvey Kurtzman for 💀EC’s💀 SHELLSHOCK, a 56-page war anthology coming this August from @onipress . Drawn by hand, just like our ancestors did. War is Hell, and so is AI. This one’s a tribute to the legendary FRONTLINE COMBAT no.7 ‘Iwo Jima’ cover from 1952.
