Over the yrs I've stopped reading a book for all sorts of reasons, but this is the 1st time I've closed one because of how dirty & ashamed it makes me feel that my government supports (& has done so for decades) a regime so vile that evil is the only appropriate description. I genuinely despair.

As something of a sociopath I have difficulty putting myself into the head of even normal folk...so when it comes to the sort of mind that thinks that bagging their dog dirt, tieing it up in a neat bow & dumping it in the middle of a path in the woods I confess I'm simply at a loss.
