Organist for Boston Red Sox games at Fenway Park. I also do a bunch of other music stuff.
Temperatures in the 90s combined with high humidity can do strange things to the human brain.
I'm a guest on my favorite podcast, @RevPerMovie.bsky.social! We talk about Stevie Wonder's most misunderstood album and the weird film that it soundtracked. Listen at shows.acast.com/revolutionspermovie/josh-kantor or other podcast sites. Chris even let me record an organ version of his theme song.
That game was un-fucking-believable, Also, the Red Sox have just won 31 of 36 for the first time in the team's 126-year history, and I'm commemorating the occasion by playing Peabo Bryson & Roberta Flack's "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love For You."
Red Sox fans are trying to kill me, but the team has won 21 of the last 25, so it all evens out.

The very wonderful @jessethorn.bsky.social swung by my office hours a couple weeks ago.
What a weekend. Sox score 3 in the bottom of the 10th to complete the 4-game sweep. Closing out the night with Vanessa Williams' "Save the Best for Last."
I was on BBC 4 Radio last Friday talking about the wonderful Scottish soccer fans at Fenway. Here's an abridged version of the piece (edited for Bluesky length limit)... the full version -- complete with snippets of fans singing and me playing organ -- is at instagram.com/p/DZ8pE36KzJh
See if you can guess which 15 songs on this list were requested by Scottish soccer fans.
Scottish soccer fans in town for the World Cup made a side-trip to Fenway on Sunday and brought actual magic with them. It was such a delight and honor to get to accompany their singing.
Only half has many home games as a typical homestand, so I only need half as much therapy this week.
Playing an Oasis song in front of a batting cage at a teen center with Alex Edelman, Ryan from @guster.bsky.social, Wolves of Glendale, @jennyowenyoungs.bsky.social, @willnoonan.bsky.social, Tony V, Darren Criss, and Kelly MacFarland, as one does on a typical Friday night.
Medicine balls and hula hoops… someone at tonight’s venue must have read the rider I submitted.
Awesome pop-up show happening in Brookline tomorrow (Friday) night. I'm not allowed to say who the "& Friends" are, but one of them might just be a devastatingly handsome organist. Tickets: secure.givelively.org/event/brookl...
7-year-old neighbor who’s learning face painting was excited to have such a vast canvas to work on.
My prediction from five years ago was only off by three years and one social media platform migration.
Just how long were you planning to let me go through life without knowing about this?!
What bands were broken up for a long time (16 years in this case) and then knocked it out of the park with their first song after reuniting? I'll start:
