Apparently, Indonesian has two first person plural ('we') pronouns, one to include the listener and one to exclude them. This would be useful in English. Does any other language have this? Uses could be e.g: 'We're going to the party but you're not invited.' #linguistics #Indonesian

A beetle is admiring the echinops plant we bought 2 months ago and which has survived the drought well enough to develop petals. Just before I took the photo, an even smaller insect was having a ride on the beetle's back #echinops #GlobeThistle

The small breeds farm and owl centre near Kington, northwest of Hereford, acquired a pair of male red squirrels last year. Once they have completely settled in after another year or so, the plan is to find them mates and try to breed them. #SciurusVulgaris #RedSquirrel #Kington #Hereford

Just back from a screening of Les Liaisons Dangereuses starring Lesley Manville, Aidan Turner and Gabrielle Drake. Manville is mesmerising! Ran for 3 hours including interval but it was air conditioned and I had plenty to drink.

Fire bums on seafront.

Exeter cathedral admission costs £12.50 full price or £10.50 with concession. Fortunately two of us are in work and you do have the option of an hour's free talk. Ours was by Nicholas and very worthwhile. Another place with a decent cafe. Wonderfully cool in the hot weather #ExeterCathedral

If you are ever near Sidmouth, visit the Donkey Sanctuary. Admission is free, there is an optional free talk, 197 donkeys, pretty gardens, a bit of shade and an EXCELLENT cafe.

Dyrham Park near Bath is worth a visit if you have a National Trust card. There's a pretty church at the site as wall as a big, posh house and gardens. Plenty of tree shade.
