#Bluesky #womensart So haven't been painting as had a friend was visiting from New Zealand. Just got this one back in time for a Summer Show in August. My frame got it done in time too. Couldn't decide which colour looked better behind it!, oil on canvas 34cms x 44cms.

#Blueskyart #artexhibition #seaside So dropped off 2 paintings for a summer Exhibition this morning and then walked back home along the seafront. The sea was a lovely turquoise blue today, the wind had cooled it down too to a tolerable 27°. Met a locely guy feeding the local pigeons too.

#Blueskyart #portraiture #oilportraits #womenartists So had a lovely visit from Helen Bryant artist to see my commissioned portrait of her and her two dogs, she is more than happy with the process so far. We spent the morning popping into 3 galleries and talking art, bliss.

I have painted my daughter 3 times and my grandson once already, the one of my grandson when he was younger for him as he's dinosaur mad. All the one's of my daughter are of when she was a child, so at some point I will paint her as an adult I'm sure.

Seaside scene of wooden posts and planks (breakers) going into the sea down a shingle, pebble beach. The Tide is going out so rocks are appearing out of the shallow water as the bluey grey sea precedes. A blue sky with thin clouds passing over.

A Work in Progress, the first layer is in acrylic as the under painting, I have put the first layer of oil on the sky only so far. Is the cloud lonely or is it independant?, just loved how it was the only cloud in a sea of blue sky with just the top of the 5 storey Victorian seaside guest houses. This will be a part of my Urban Beauty series of my local town here on the East Sussex coast in the UK.

Form telling me my painting has a chance of getting into the prestigious Mall Gallery in London, it has been chosen out of thousands of entrants, so fingers crossed it will get into the exhibition.

The beginnings of a view from a beech hedge over looking a playing field to a singular tree in the middle flanked by trees and shrubs around the field. It's pretty rough so far as just the beginning. It's done in Unison and Sennelier soft pastels and very messy.

#Blueskyart so after having a bisitor I can now think about doing a new painting so decided to do a pastel as haven't done many and need to practice more, a Landscape maybe?, not decided yet but trawling my reference photo's for idea's.

#Blueskyart so just finished my secret painting which I can't show until it's gifted in March. Will have a go at my new posca pens for fun next I think. Today we had long awaited sunshine so went for a walk.

A beautiful sunny day here. Our shi Glenn beach leading to a calm still channel, a few fluffy Simpson clouds and a fabulous blue sky.

A ferris wheel, town houses with the West Hill behind overlooking the almost empty boating lake, you can see the ferris wheel reflection in the water left from the last bout of rain.
