Mom of four, Illinois Lt. Governor, Democratic Nominee for U.S. Senate. Giving the people what they want.
We cannot stand idly by while Trump's personal police force terrorizes our communities. Abolish ICE.
My dad marched from Selma to Montgomery in 1965 because he didn’t like how human beings were being treated, and he believed that everybody deserves the right to vote. That’s the legacy I’m bringing to Washington.
I’m fighting for a $25 minimum wage because we deserve a livable wage, and not just the bare minimum.
Let's stop thinking about how we can give people the bare minimum, and start working to give the people what they want. If you're ready for big, bold ideas in Washington, join me today at JulianaStratton.com!
It’s time to end Citizens United and get corporate special interests out of politics. That’s the leadership I’ll bring to Washington.
Always a great time with Keisha Lance Bottoms! Georgia and Illinois, let’s do this!
Day after day, I am reminded that women are the ones who will save this democracy. We are up for the fight this moment requires.
Your rights shouldn’t be dependent on the whims of a Supreme Court that far too often puts Donald Trump’s authoritarian agenda over precedent and principle. That's why I'm fighting to reform the Supreme Court and to restore the checks and balances our country was founded on.
Every day I’m hearing from people who are getting involved politically for the first time in their life, and I love it. That is exactly what we need right now. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to get involved, head to JulianaStratton.com today to learn more!
This week at ESSENCE Fest! I had such a great time speaking on a panel at the Global Black Economic Forum, catching up with so many friends at @actblueorg.bsky.social and Collective PAC, and enjoying all ESSENCE Fest has to offer!
Happy 4th of July!! 🇺🇸🎆 Grateful to the Berwyn Fire Department and to all the first responders for helping us have a safe and fun Fourth!
I'm so grateful to have the support of @corybooker.com on this campaign, and I’m working hard to join him in Washington! Let's give the people what they want!
Ten years ago, I ran for state representative because healthcare for seniors like my mother was under threat. This work has always been personal for me, and it's why I fight so hard for hardworking families like mine.
For me, this work is not about a title or a position. It's about effecting real change and making real progress, because policy should not be made for us, but with us and alongside us.
The wisdom is in the room. When we're looking for solutions to our problems, we don't need to look outside our own communities. We need to work alongside them.
I'm not headed to Washington to do what's easy, I'm going to fight for real progress for the working families of our country. That starts with making sure everyone has a roof over their head and can see a doctor when they need one.
Here in Illinois, we've made real progress because we led with big, bold ideas. And those ideas didn't come from consultants or focus groups, they came from talking with and listening to the people we serve.
We can't have elected leaders come around only when they need our vote. If we want to make real change in our communities, we have to show up, and we have to invest.
Billions for war with Iran, the golden ballroom, and Trump’s own bank account, but nothing for hard-working American families.
It’s hot out there in Chicago today, but you know what I’m heated about? Donald Trump getting richer and richer while American families struggle.
The Supreme Court upheld birthright citizenship, but there are still three justices who voted to allow Trump’s executive order to overrule the Constitution. We need Supreme Court reform now.
In order to make real progress, we need to know what we’re fighting for, not just what we’re fighting against. Here in Illinois, we’ve been proactive in passing good legislation to raise wages, create more jobs, protect our fundamental rights, and so much more.
I had so much fun at the Chicago Pride parade today! I will always stand up for LGBTQ+ rights, equality, and visibility, and I can’t wait to bring that fight to Washington. Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈
Hard working families deserve more than just the bare minimum. We deserve to thrive, and that’s why I’m fighting for a $25 minimum wage at the federal level.
Donald Trump is a danger to our democracy, and we cannot afford to give him an inch.
Trump and Republicans want us to believe we have to settle for less. We don’t. With bold leadership, we can build a better, more affordable future for American families, and I’m ready for that fight.
Trump knew about the problems with the Reflecting Pool, but he kept lying and blaming anyone but himself. We deserve better.
On the eve of the anniversary of the Supreme Court Dobbs decision, I sat down with @mintimm.bsky.social of @reproductivefreedomforall.org to talk about reproductive freedom and access to abortion.
We don’t want policy to be made for us, but by us and alongside of us. That’s how we’re working to address the Black maternal mortality crisis here in Illinois, and that’s the leadership I’ll bring to the U.S. Senate.
