I had a great chat with Tom Elmhirst last month after he dropped some quality & familiarly resonate knowledge at SAE for Imsta. Nice guy & good to meet. I also saw my man Adrian Hall do the same with a superb mix masterclass, but failed to get any pics despite hanging out with him all day. I suck!
London being beautifully gorgeous from Waterloo Bridge. Sunset just out of shot. Behind me in fact.
A view across Parisian rooftops towards the Panthéon from Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. 📸✋🏻March 2025 #paris
Going back to France later this summer so my Francophile impulses are kicking back in. So, here’s a photo I’m really pleased with of Sacré-Cœur Paris that I took in March ‘25 from the rooftop of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. Might ramp up the Gallic posts here in the next bit. Enjoy. 🇫🇷
I’ll be joining fellow legends Marco Pasquariello, Neil Pickles & Kevin Paul as part of his KP MixBus podcast live this Saturday at GearExpo UK for the fine folks at Sound On Sound. We’ll be talking @ building studio careers, sharing our collective experience on the subject. www.gearexpouk.com
My son’s just informed me that Ambient, Intelligent Drum & Bass makes him relaxed & helps him focus while doing homework. It’s currently like 1997 at The End or Metalheadz up in here at Chez Kindred, and I’m entirely here for it!
Saw Brian Eno & Jacob Collier discussing Earthpercent & creativity with Cathy Runciman at SXSW London yesterday. A really good session.
Catching the 5:40 from Epsom > Austin. LONDON! Sorry, London! I’m going to be pretty Shoreditch centric for the rest of the week folks. Give me a shout if you fancy hangs and other related activities, particularly of the music production & recording variety! #sxswlondon #sxswlondon2026
40 years old today! Forty actual years!!! I was completely mesmerized with this record between 1986-‘87. Still infinitely influenced and inspired by it.
Been nonstop in the studio but there’s lots of good upcoming things to share. Also been post light of late so here’s something I’ve just been algorithmically reminded of to confirm that I’m still working the magic & doin’ it! More soon.
I had the incredibly good fortune to see Radiohead’s last night of their London O2 residency back in November. An immense & transcendent gig. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying a lot! @radiohead #radiohead
RIP to this beautiful musical legend, whose influence on me has been so incalculable I don’t know how to adequately begin to give him the tribute he deserves. The album covers pictured here are at least a start. Bless him!
Had a brief stakeout of David Gilmour’s studio gaff on the school run yesterday. As you do!
Happy Birthday to this utter masterpiece. 40 years old today. 40 actual years!
My wife just showed me this photo she found from an old session. Man alive! Haven’t seen this in ages. 24 years ago in Nashville!
Sound On Sound Magazine has released last month’s MixBus Live Podcast panel hosted by Kevin Paul from Gearfest UK at Tileyard London, with Tim Bran, Danton Supple, Shelby Logan Warne and yours truly talking about our experiences building studio careers. It’s a good one. Check it out! Link below.
Felt cute, might delete later! I don’t know, help me out my influencer crew. Am I doing this right?
I’ll be joining Kevin Paul’s Mix Bus Podcast for a live panel at this year’s GearFest UK with Sound On Sound on Saturday, 19th of July at Tileyard London. Going to chat all manner of things relating to starting out in studio life with quality legends Danton Supple Shelby Logan Warne & Tim Bran.
They say don’t meet your heroes, but every time I have it’s always a superb experience. I met Robbie McIntosh recently & got to hang out with him a bit again this weekend. An absolute gent & an incredible musician whose work has had a huge impact on me.
Thank you for everything, you wonderfully innovative, extraordinarily inspiring soul! Travel well! #SlyStone
