This person nailed it on the head for me. "Swift" means THIS election cycle and the next two years following. Not "maybe someday" or "if only..." Worth it. Final frittata - asparagus, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, garlic, goat cheese, 8 eggs, and - of course - carmelized onions. 85 minutes for carmelization, 20 minutes at 400 for frittata. Now going to lay down in A/C.

The waiting is the hardest part. Ten other things I did while carmelizing onions: 1) Made coffee 2) Steeped iced tea 3) Cuddled cat 4) Watered plants 5) Refilled cat water bowl 6) Prepped all other veggies for frittata 7) Put the goat cheese away 8) Read 3 chapters 9)Took picture 10)Posted this

Mulder is tired today. It's odd, he didn't used to get freaked out by storms or fireworks. It started when we got our 2nd dog, Mila. It's as if she told him, "If you act scared by noises, the humans give you all kinds of extra love and treats." And she's correct. He's a good actor, if he's faking.

My sweet, fluffy, chill, cuddly kitty has also murdered at least 10 mice and 5 chimney swifts in and around my house. He kills them mercifully quickly, but then beheads them, and leaves the bodies behind for me to find. Have yet to find the heads. So gross.
