haven’t drawn on wood since I was a child, but I couldn’t pass up the chance when I stumbled upon wooden slices at a store today
was playing with some ink brushes and one reminded me a bit of the game Okami so I drew Espen🧡
There is something about african wild dogs that I find extremely difficult to draw. The fur pattern is so random and the dark face markings is super hard to capture. I don’t know if I'm the only one. I spent a long time on this one and I think I finally got it for the first time ever. Really proud
We should make sketching in public spaces more common. The amount of times people stop and look when I'm drawing in my sketchbook instead of sitting on my phone is crazy. You actually can get into really sweet and uplifting conversations instead of just sitting silently next to each other.
artfight attack for @odaeshka.bsky.social of their wolf Taryn and Faewind (and another loose landscape inspiration from my Sweden trip)
my second artfight attack is for @ari0619.bsky.social (echotillsilence on Instagram) of her character Ari background inspiration was from a photo I took during a boat trip in Sweden yesterday
currently in Sweden with a friend and I stumbled upon this cute wood carved tree sparrow🧡 Since Espen (my wolf oc designed by the amazing @astarcis )is based on one I had to get it. Our vacation turned into a bird hunt somehow. Definitely need the kestrel as well if I can find him in Stockholm.
first artfight attack goes the thewolves.art on insta The character gave me such twin peak / gravity falls vibes I had to draw a lil comic page with him encountering something otherworldly.
comedy team has the PERFECT colors for my characters I couldn’t not choose it. Happy to join artfight this year again. I probably won’t have that much time but I want to draw at least a few attacks / revenges🧡 artfight.net/~JuliArtWorld
I need to show you the beautiful sweater my mom knitted for me. I'm so in love🧡 can’t wait to wear it when it gets colder again. It’s her first time doing colorwork and since it went so well we’re already working on the next one. Pattern by Anna-Sofia Vintersol
too many styles I absolutely adore. from cartoony to kemono to semi-realistic ahhh what’s your fav? pros? cons?
every time when I see furries at a convention the urge to get a suit myself grows bigger and bigger. Y'all are living the dream
Turns out that there are many. In that case, I hope you enjoy some photos of my favorite noodle. The marbeled polecat all pics by me from 2024
some new items hit the shop. I must say I love how the bagpacks / itabags turned out. Love that I was able to get my design embroidered on the faux leather. It looks so good aarghhg🧡 juliartworld.com
currently working on an art trade with watercolors Since I know that I can draw the lineart digitally and print them on my watercolor paper, it’s so much more fun. Before I had to use my broken lightpad and try to trace/ guess the lines through the thick paper.
This game has me in a chokehold. Spend the last two nights working on the rocky ridge entry. Still lots to do but I like how it looks so far.
Currently at Leipzig bookfair and I love how my booth looks Pic is from the first day bc omg my booth got absolutely raided. Thank you so much guys🧡 Especially the backpacks sold out in the first hour each day lol.
I went with the paper where I painted the wolf brown. The other paper had some slight bleeding/blooming issues and some darker colors appeared dull when used with too much water.
two watercolor test paintings to find the best paper for the coloring sheets I'm working on right now.
I did it! So proud of my new banner/profile pic. I had the idea for a few weeks now. Lining these two up was a nightmare though and I'm sure it probably won’t work on all devices but ehh
rocky beaches my beloved🧡 Rendering the cliff was fun. No references I could rely on, so I mostly winged it. But my favorite part might be the green waves. It gives the piece an important balance to the earthy tones.
What’s your favorite shark species? Mine is definitely the blacktip reef shark. It’s not the most interesting or special looking one out there but I somehow really like them.
Jascha found a nest I really enjoy doodling atm There is just something deeply satisfying filling a sketchbook page.
