This little hummingbird was keeping a watchful eye as I was taking photos at a local pollinator garden. 😊
This bee is getting busy on a magenta Cholla cactus flower 😊 #flowerphotography #busybees
This little bee dotted with yellow pollen on the black-eyed Susan. And a 2-fer with a couple of bees on the red corn poppy. Notice the bee's shadow 😊 #wildflowers #flowerphotography, #pollinators
When you unexpectedly come across a big wildflower garden - and it's filled with cosmos and colorful corn poppies!! 😍 #wildflowers #flowerphotography
Because sometimes life can be a bit prickly...😊 #pricklypears #cactusflowers #flowerphotography
Nature sending out some love of this first day of summer with this little heart-shaped prickly pear cactus paddle. 🥰
It's hard to believe contained in these fuzzy green pods are big Oriental poppies. Their crinkly flower petals looking like crepe paper. One even looks like its's wearing its pod as a hat! The bees covered in purple pollen love them too 😊 #flowerphotography #flowerblooms
Because cactus flowers are awesome and there's such a short window to capture photos of these beauties! 🥰
The Claret Cups bloom is officially on! 😀 Such a short time frame to capture these beauties in their full flowering state. Notice the bee that was just dropping in over the pink flower. More cactus flower photos to come... #cactusflowers #flowerphotography
As pedo poopy pants and his train-wreck administration continue to run this country into the ground, thankfully Nature motors on. The soon to be blooming yuccas and nubby red buds of the claret cups cactus are coming to life 😊 #flowerphotography
When you notice the sky glowing after a late afternoon rain shower and run outside at just the right moment to be greeted by a double rainbow 🌈🌈 😊
Another small but mighty spring flower - Crocus. Love the deep purple color. Always nice when a bee shows up. Notice the dots of pollen on its head 😊 #springflowers #flowerphotography
When spring flowers unexpectedly bloom a few steps from your front door. A patch of purple iris. Gave this one a close up😊 #springflowers #flowerphotography
Patiently awaiting the spring flowers to bloom, some of Santa Fe's unique doors have gotten my attention. The beauty of wandering around on foot! 😊
And so it begins - although it looks like the resident rabbits got a head start by munching down the fresh green leaves. The first tulip of the season from bud to bloom the next day ☺️
While not technically a hyacinth, I loved seeing these little grape hyacinths popping up while exploring the neighborhood. With their vibrant purple grape-like clusters, they're small but mighty 🙂
We basically did not have a winter - bummer! And this early March purple Hyacinth is enjoying the warm sunshine. Looks like tulips will be soon to follow! #earlyspringflowers #flowerphotography
Hello hawk!! When nature catches you off guard as you're walking to the grocery store and all you have is your phone camera! 😑 #naturephotography
To those who celebrate, Merry Christmas!🎅🎄 And even if you don't. enjoy the day!!☺️ #naturephotography #happyholidays
A few Cottonwood trees still hanging on to their golden fall colors. Rather lovely when they are literally right outside your door! A bit of creative liberty via filters giving them a more watercolor effect 😊 #fallcolors #autumntrees #naturephotography
Cottonwood trees and others show their fall colors long after the aspens have faded. One can be lured along a winding path or over a footbridge to take in the colorful foliage. Even this plump little prairie dog appears to be enjoying the view 😊 #fallcolors #autumntrees #naturephotography
Gotta give a few props to Indian Blanket wildflowers - sometimes referred to as "Firewheels". They are quite showy little flowers full of vibrant fall colors. Love the little one that's just getting ready to open. 😊
Against the golden colors of fall, these little, purple Aster wildflowers stand out with their daisy-like appearance. Nice when an orange-belted bumble bee pays them a visit. And after the bloom with their fuzzy, round seed heads 😊 #flowerphotography #naturephotography #fallwildflowers
Taking creative liberties by applying a few filters during post processing - resulting in these fall photos having some unique effects 😊 #fallcolors #autumntrees
Lean in to what makes you different - or in this case, stand tall and stand out!! 😊 #naturephotography #fallcolors #autumnaspens
While this country continues to go to hell at the hands of the moronic, mango Mussolini and his goons, thankfully Nature motors on unperturbed with its gorgeous, fall Aspen tree colors. And don't forget to look up! #naturephotography #fallcolors
The Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson, AZ is a bounty of incredible cactus plants! Giant Saguaro 🌵, Organ pipes, barrel cactus and many more. My fav was this little guy I called the "cactus cake" cuz it looks like a little birthday cake! 🎂 😊 #cactusphotography #flowerphotography
When Nature catches you off guard... Strolling the xeric gardens I walked right into a hawk that had just made a kill. The photo does not do justice to the hawk's size! We observed each other in silence. It would take 3 attempts for it to away with the big rabbit in its talons! 😳 #naturephotography
This magenta and yellow looker of a flower is known as a Mystic Sparkler Dahlia. Pretty pretty! 🥰 The bee adds a nice touch. Don't want to leave out this other little fella either on another Dahlia 😊 #flowerphotography #naturephotography
A few different varieties of Cholla cactus flowers. A Snow Leopard with lemon yellow flowers and LONG white spines, a Buckhorn Cholla, and Santa Fe Cholla which is endangered. And who wouldn't want to see a bee with its butt sticking out of a magenta Cholla? #flowerphotography #naturephotography
