Felt tough wearing a muscle tank with flowers on it today. 🌸 It was a day spent running errands, lifting, and doing yard work! 🌱
Before I ever ran for office, I spent close to a decade working with the federal government in the nonprofit sector. I had a job—and I loved my career. But my position was eliminated after the federal funding by Trump’s cuts and Elon Musk’s DOGE’s decimation of federal projects. (1/5)
Hey everyone! ♥️ I’m in my last year of school, but after putting a lot of my finances toward my recent race, I’m stuck with a $1,000 bill that’s preventing me from enrolling in my fall classes at UMKC. (1/4)
There's only one candidate in the 1st District At Large race who doesn't take PAC money, isn't backed by the political establishment, and is boldly taking on the AI industry by calling for a permanent ban on data centers and Flock cameras: it’s Justice Horn! 💪🏽
Today’s the day—it’s ELECTION DAY! I hope you'll cast your vote for Justice Horn to be your next 1st District At Large Jackson County Legislator—and vote NO on Amendment 4 and 5! 🗳️ (1/2)
BREAKING: The Kansas City Election Board confirmed that 251 in person absentee voters and approximately 1,400+ mail in voters cast ballots that did not include our at large race because of their error. 🗳️ (1/3)
We're out placing yard signs across Eastern Jack—and look who’s always watching—the Palantir owned Flock cameras! 👁️🗨️ The AI industry is watching our community through these devices—even when a crime isn’t being committed. It’s mass surveillance at all hours of the day, 24/7.
Yours truly has the deadlift record for the Red, White & Blue Springs Deadlift Challenge at the US Army tent... at least for now! 💪🇺🇸 I put up 35 sets, so we'll see if anyone can beat it! 🏋🏽
Instead, they're building out the very system that requires more surveillance, more data collection, and more consumption of our resources—all at the expense of individual freedoms. 👉 Donate to the movement: secure.actblue.com/donate/justi...
As an at large county candidate, I want to make it clear I support a ban on data centers, battery storage facilities, AND Flock cameras at the county level. 🎥 Local governments are failing to protect residents' privacy and data rights by not adopting consumer bill of rights.
News has broken that Kansas City is pushing for facial recognition technology on buses. I got out to show people my hometown of Blue Springs—this is what a surveillance state looks like—hundreds of Flock cameras. This expansion of surveillance is tied to the AI industry's demand for data centers. 🚫
Before the Independence city council voted to give $150 Billion of your tax dollars to a foreign entity to build a data center in Jackson County’s second largest city and my hometown, I was the only person in this race—and the only candidate for county office—that testified against it. 🗣️🚫
BREAKING: There are already 30 data centers in Kansas City—now a 20 story data center is being proposed downtown! 🏗️ (1/3)
We had meaningful conversations about our mission to create a countywide public transit system, a jobs program, and the need for new leadership that meets people where they’re at. It was a hot one, but there’s nowhere we’d rather be than out on the doors! 👉 Donate: secure.actblue.com/donate/justi...
After spending the morning at the Kansas City Zoo for an event meant to celebrate teachers and their loved ones, we got out and knocked 117 doors in the Swope area to talk with residents about my at large race for the Jackson County Legislature! 🏃🏽♂️
BREAKING: Yard sign season is here!!! 🪧 We’re excited to get these signs out and will deliver them ASAP! 🚙🪧🏃🏽♂️ Signs are free, but please consider chipping in $20 to support our grassroots movement to build a countywide transit system. Chip in here: secure.actblue.com/donate/justi...
As the first—and only LGBTQ+ candidate running countywide in Jackson County, I was proud to speak at Independence Pride and talk about what’s at stake this August 4th! 🗳️ Make a plan to vote ahead of August 4: sos.mo.gov. 👉 Donate to the work ahead: secure.actblue.com/donate/justi...
🏳️🌈 Representation matters, especially at the local level. That’s why I’m running to make history as the first openly LGBTQ+ person elected to the county—and the only LGBTQ+ county official in Missouri! Let’s build a movement. Let’s make history this August 4th: secure.actblue.com/donate/justi...
Pride ain’t for photo ops—and it definitely ain’t for politicians who voted to legalize conversion therapy. Pride was born out of resistance to police brutality and systemic oppression. 🌈 If you won’t fight for us when it matters, you don’t get to celebrate with us. 📝 Petition: c.org/bGnbxJZsp2
🔔COMMUNITY UPDATE: As of this post, 229 community members have signed the petition to bar Kansas City politicians that voted to repeal the city's conversion therapy ban from Kansas City Pride—this is about accountability. 🌈
COMMUNITY CALL TO ACTION: We've launched a Change.org petition calling on KC Pride organizers to bar any politician that voted to legalize conversion therapy from marching in this year's parade. If you won't fight for us, you don't get to celebrate with us. 📝 Petition: c.org/Cm59QNkptV
After knocking 211 doors in Lee’s Summit, I was proud to end last night by participating in the at large Jackson County Legislature candidate forum hosted by the Blue Springs Democrats and the Lee's Summit Democrats! I’m grateful to both clubs and everyone who came out to listen and engage! 💙
We’re proud to be endorsed by Bernie Sanders because he—and so many residents—understand what’s at stake. 🌱
We hope you’ll join us in voting this August 4th for much needed change to one of Missouri’s largest counties and for the progressive in this race! ✊🏽 👉 Donate to the movement: secure.actblue.com/donate/justi...
This movement is powered by working people—not corporate PACs, special interests, or the same political establishment that’s been in this seat for close to a decade. That’s why we’re fighting for a countywide public transit system, jobs, housing, and a countywide ban on data centers! 🌱 (2/3)
✊🏽 BIG NEWS: Senator Bernie Sanders has officially endorsed our movement and my at large race for the Jackson County Legislature! 🏃🏽♂️🌈 (1/3)
Honored to join the Kansas City NAACP today to share why I’m running for 1st District at large seat for the Jackson County Legislature: to fight for a countywide public transit system, a guaranteed jobs program, and transit corridors that spur affordable housing for working families. 🏠
The vacant building along the I-70 corridor is hard to ignore—especially when half of the buildings are empty or have “for sale” signs. The Sears signage is gone, places like Hooters boarded up, and restaurants that once held memories—closed. 📉
The Republican in this race already has people out there spreading propaganda and claiming that “he wasn’t even at the Capitol on January 6.” But he literally gave an interview to FOX 4 from the Capitol that day—talking about what was happening. He basically checked in, he was there. (1/3)
🚨BREAKING: A Grain Valley man has jumped into this race after the last republican dropped out—but this guy stormed the U.S. Capital on January 6th. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won the 2020 election—and Trump lost. 👉 We need to win this seat—Donate to the movement: secure.actblue.com/donate/justi...
