Unrelated but… i don’t actually hate this on Woodroffe. Obviously not ideal, #ottawa doesn’t ever do that, but. It was really early. Not a lot of busses and I like to pull over when they come by anyway but the space away from people going 80kms/hr while looking at a phone is nice

The dirt strip sidewalk which would win gold medals for inaccessibility is then met with this. 30 ft of a pretend sidewalk that evaporates into thin air. On Hunt Club Rd, one of the main stroads in the south of the city of #ottawa can’t even get sidewalks on both sides of the road.

I had to take a video cuz, even me, as cyclical a fuck as you’ll get was a bit shocked. The other side of the bridge had a dirt path for 3-400 ft and 50 ft of it was littered with broken windshield glass I assume was just shoveled and thrown from a car crash. A+ city yo #ottawa

I went down into Nepean this morning and tried out Hunt Club this time. Did you know that the east side of the rail bridge on a major road way over an active rail line installed an extension for people over the bridge but didn’t make a sidewalk to connect it… Even I’m a bit stunned tbh #ottawa

Sidewalks that last 50 yrs are a fucking miracle in this city . This brand new curb section on Richmond rd was just destroyed in the last couple days… #ottawa

Yes, for sure the new section of Richmond rd that people drive 50 kms an hour has the legal liability sign off from the city of #ottawa because someone painted some shit on the road. “We care… Only about your travel times while driving”

Hey @en.ottawa.ca apparently I signed up for Mark Sutcliffe's email when I submitted a city-storm related 311 request last week? Why is city digital infrastructure and comms being used to sign residents up to the Mayor's email, especially in an election year? Why is this even an option?
