MN Rebel

Denizen of western Minneapolis suburbs. Seeking joy amidst the struggle. Equal opportunity curmudgeon. The metacrisis is a predicament, not a (solvable) problem. Political “centrists” = part of The Problem.
This anti- Darializa Avila-Chevalier flyer, sent by moderate Dem opponents, quoted a deleted anti-Harris tweet she’d posted. It seemingly backfired, as DAC won — yet another sign of how centrist Dems are simply out of touch with their own electorate.
The heat wave temps in Western U.S. cities look brutal. Already 109 F (almost 43 C) in Palm Springs, 88 F (31 C) in San Francisco, in March? This summer will be brutal.
Minnesota State House 64A Special Election results: Republicans get only 4.4% of the vote. Hopefully an indicator of future election results.
“May the odds be ever in your favor…” … and may it all end in real life the way it ends in the dystopian trilogy by Suzanne Collins...
Yet another example that this idea that Republicans are better on the economy is bullshit. (Reminder: under Walz, MN entered the COVID pandemic with a budget surplus — unlike many red states…)
Reminds me of the 1996 movie Multiplicity, in which Michael Keaton clones himself:
Thank you for this thread. It’s definitely a right wing problem, and the centrist language of “both sides” is not only not rooted in reality, it is in some cases willfully disingenuous, and causes moral injury. And I’ll just leave this here:
Plymouth, MN Hands Off! protest. I’d estimate over 1,500 at the height, lining the street from the library to the movie theaters. Democracy is powerful! 💪🏼🇺🇸
I’ll just leave this here… the “Fighting Oligarchy” tour is resonating with Americans. The Democratic Party? Not so much…
New addition to my library, a gift from my partner Nathania. Thanks, honey! 😘
Protesters at Minnesota capitol steps, Wednesday 2/5/25. I’d estimate there were more than 1,000 people, which is good for mid-week and sun-freezing temperatures. #StopTheCoup #DeportMusk #SaveAmericanDemocracy
