86. Azure Striker Gunvolt 3: Epilogue ATEMS [Enhanced] A pretty short addition to the GV universe, but also a pretty sweet one too, what with its arguably more refined gameplay, music that's even more to my tastes, and some cute banter between the enemy team that's always a novelty to see. 7.5/10

85. Cry Baby A cathartic takedown of US imperialism, exceptionalism and racism that also just happens to be a really good alt hip-hop album. Vince continues to prove himself one of my favourite artists, and one of my biggest inspirations. 8.6/10

84. Rango A slick Western with great animation, acting and music, and while the story itself may not be anything special, the surreal and stylish way it's told certainly is. 7.9/10

83. Bakemonogatari An exceptionally odd show that commits to its bizarrely striking identity with such a brazen yet mundane confidence I can't help but respect it. Even if I couldn’t vibe with all its eccentricities, I can’t deny I was enthralled by its prose. 7.3/10

82. Good Luck Chuck A relic of a very specific type of evil that I'm glad died a long time ago. I hope Dane Cook wakes up in a cold sweat every time he remembers he was fillmed eating a plushie penguin's ass. 1.4/10

81. Hurry Up Tomorrow [Rewatch] The Weeknd should have just fucked his manager and it would have bumped this up like three points. 1.4/10

80. Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 [Enhanced] While the story reads more like a soft reboot than an actual sequel and the higher skill floor takes some adjustment, the presentation and style are top-tier, the characters are cool and memorable, and the gameplay hits in an all-new but still fun way. 7.6/10

79. Spider-Noir A slightly cheesy, but 100% sincere homage to classic noir that's just a delight to watch, what with its fun characters, occasional descents into surreal horror, and a performance by Nic Cage that is never anything less than entertaining. 8.8/10

78. Inferno An album that threads the needle by managing to be both ambient and cinematic. You really do feel like you've been taken on a journey by the end, and like any good journey, while there are some lulls, you can't help but look back on the whole and be satisfied. 8.5/10

77. Angels of Death This is the kind of edgy mess that high school-me would just devour, and despite mediocre production values and some shallow side characters, it was a fun vibe to revisit. But even past the trashy fun, there was still a compelling dynamic between the leads to enjoy. 6.6/10

76. Backrooms [Rewatch] The script perhaps isn't as polished as it could, but even on a rewatch, this is still easily one of the most delightfully tense films I've seen in recent memory. It leaves so much to the imagination, and in the end, that choice is what makes it hit like it does. 8.8/10

75. WALL·E [Rewatch] A film with a veritable landfill of interpretations and themes buried under what might seem like a relatively simple environmental message and a love story too cute not to smile at. 8.3/10

74. Falling Down An interesting film - a fair bit more nuanced than I thought going into it. Has it's elements that I'm not certain on and still will need to think about, but for as much as some parts have aged, there's an aspect to it that, unfortunately, can't help but feel timeless. 7.4/10

73. Percepticide: The Death of Reality Dark, pulsing production and Rita's vocals make this a sick soundscape to sink into, and though there might be a couple duller moments in the tracklist, they keep switching things up just enough to keep me engaged while still preserving the atmosphere. 8.0/10

72. Black★Rock Shooter: The Game While the mission design can be a little frustrating and some of the characters feel pretty shallow, for a plot-driven action game on PSP, I'm kinda impressed by the level of ambition, and at its best, I couldn't help but get swept up in what it was weaving. 6.9/10

Got a switch 2 and started transferring over my data. As I was doing so, I noticed that the game icon for "Necrobarista" would suddenly change back and forth between the key art and a seemingly random shot of the protagonist. Is this a thing that can happen?

71. Moonlight [Rewatch] "What you gotta be sorry for?" is a line that will stay with me forever. 10/10

70. Disclosure Day A film that I want to like more than I do, but is simply too cramped and overwhelmed with concepts, themes and parallels. It touches base with a lot of interesting ideas, but without a nine-hour runtime, it really doesn't feel like it can explore much of any of them. 5.7/10

69. Lycoris Recoil It did take a little bit to 100% "get" it, but once I did, I was pleased to have a show with fun characters, cool action and music, and just maybe a little bit of food for thought. 7.8/10

68. Dog Day Afternoon Enjoyed this far more sincerely than I was initially expecting to. A genuinely entertaining comedy of errors on one hand and a pretty suspenseful crime drama on the other, I was invested and involved all the way through. 8.2/10

67. Twin Peaks Season 2 [Rewatch] A season of television that includes both the best and strangest TV episodes I've ever seen. Even by Twin Peaks standards, it risked getting lost its own madness, but there was always something that kept me enthralled. Time to follow it to its roots. 7.5/10

66. The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act It's surreal knowing that this is actually over - I think I'll be processing that fact for longer than I expected. I wouldn't say that's bad though; even if this wasn't all I wanted or expected, it was hard not to feel satisfied regardless. 7.8/10

65. Backrooms If film were food, then this was an absolute feast. The atmosphere, direction and sound design were impeccable, and while the third act came close to losing me at points, those final two shots brought it home in an incredible way. 8.9/10
