In the end they fared better as two separate shawls, one for me and one for my kiddo. So soft. So cozy. Like draping yourself with a cloud. #knitsky
I made a shawl. Then I made one more. The thought was to put them together to make a poncho. But... should I? Or do they fare better separately? It's a wonderful mohair/silk mix and lovely to touch. Currently both of them is blocking and waiting for a decision from me. What to do? #knitsky
Remember the gansey i knit from an old 1850's pattern? I was not 100% happy with it. Turns out that was becasue it wasn't for me but for my mother. She tried it out on our vacation and it was clear this sweater was made for her. Sometimes you have no choice, it was already made for you.❤️ #knitsky
Behemoth cardigan update: I steeked and made a collar (I'm not 100% I'm in love with it though) and finished a third of the first sleeve. Paused due to it being too warm to knit with this heavy wool. #knitsky
Pippi sweater update: I ran out of white yean and my local cozy yarn store is closed for vacation. But almost doneee... #knitsky
Tell me you're on vacation without telling me you're on vacation... 😅 #knitsky
Summer knit! A variant of a Pippi sweater. The base pattern is Joo summer sweater by Novemberknits. The yarn is Hjertegarn Wool Silk held double. #knitsky
I crocheted a lil beach bag from scrap cotton yarn. It's gonna hold book and water bottle on my vacation 😍 #chrochetsky #crochet
First board done of Lulle's kofta. I know many find Léttlopi itchy and scrarchy, but my experience with Alafosslopi is that it turns soft and wonderful after blocking. I am hoping this will work the same. Loving the colors. #knitsky
I'm starting a new project, based on a wall piece I inherited from my grandmother Lulle. It's the first time working in léttlopi, and I'm pretty ambitious, freehanding and steeking...😅 Follow along in the process of trying to make Lulle's kofta (kofta is cardigan in Swedish.) #knitsky
Knitted service vest from World War 2. Yarn: BC yarn Loch Lomond Fun and quick knit. My first v-neck! #knitsky #knittingyesterday
I made a lil sweater, pattern was Kort Løvetannmamma by Strikkezilla. Yarn: Rauma finull. Pretty pleased with it. #knitsky
I finished the #roomyraglan and it turned out soo nice! The yarn is a locally spun from Åland held with a thin alpaca thread and it's so soft. This will be an everyday sweater for me, for sure! #knitsky
Calling #knitsky and anyone that knitted The Roomy raglan. Did I read the pattern wrong somewhere? My end count for the body was 180 stitches, while the sleeves was correct. How can I be 18 stitches wrong? Is it the pattern? I've followed it to a tee. 😅 Help! #theroomyraglan
I finished the gansey! Pretty pleased with it, a perfect everyday sweater. But really hard to photograph though. Yarn: Rauma finull #knitsky #knittingyesterday
Pictured: me in full 1918 gear including the Roseate sweater and the silly little beret I knitted to go with the ensemble. #knitsky #knittingyesterday #larp
Rainbow tee for my daughter. Pattern: freehanded. Yarn: Sheepjes stone washed. #knitsky
Gansey progress. It's starting to look so good! 😍 Also pictured: The pattern and my chaotic notes for recounting for my gauge. Luckily it's only me that need to make sense of it. 😅 #knitsky #knittingyesterday #gansey
Gansey fisherman's sweater in the making. Pattern from 1850. #knitsky #knittingyesterday
My mother is turning 75 so I crocheted a lace shawl for her. Very pleased with the outcome. #crochetsky #knitsky #craftsky
I finished the Roseate sweater from 1910. It was not a fun knit sadly, and I should have made the body longer. I'm gonna use it for a larp set in 1918 this March, so I skipped the standing collar to be able to match with lace collar. #knitsky #knittingyesterday
