Interesting review, this makes me wonder who DID build the modretro controller, better look up who this Palmer Lucky guy is and...oh...weird that isn't mentioned in the review.

Danger Girl always reeked of desperation when I saw it back in the day, just buy our game please it has women and they have racks. Should give it a go one day. Though I like original Tomb Raider box, here's Lara she's the Tomb Raider look, a tomb! The Japanese PS1 box is also amusing.

You can tell they were struggling because the PAL one just has white spray hurled at it to pull the characters out but you can always do worse

This guy has like 1 and a half expressions, he would have done amazing on youtube, poor lad

inside of the jinx case, he's sitting on a memory card with the cute tag line "To save the kingdom you'll need to save your game" which idk maybe that's a challenge.

The legend himself, Jinx - an extraordinary late PS1 release from the guys that ported Quake 2, only released in PAL territories to capitalise on younger audiences presumably. It's more of a puzzle platformer than a straight up Mario/Gex collectathon affair. Not terrible (Eurogamer hated it).

nileswan arrived and is working wonderfully arlight everyone it's time to get some more English Translations happening for the wonderswan. I've loaded a few things up but if anyone has any real hits on this thing I'd be happy to hear'em.

this might sound impressive but they've basically sold double the amount of Switch 2s when Zero came out for the WiiU

switch 2 sales figures saying that as of now it's almost sold 20 million units

WiiU sales figures as of 2019 from wikipedia saying it sold 13.56 million or so. Note this is total so it is probable that less WiiUs were sold than this number when Starfox Zero came out

an image search for "Sonic arcade game" on the internet and would you believe 90% of the results are for weird fake arcade cabinets with sonic in them, no appearance of his 3 or 4 canonical arcade games (there is the olympics game he appears in the arcade but that one really shouldn't be the one that shows up)

the big *manual* is actually a product flyer proudly demonstrating the exciting range of dogshit software available for your incredibly expensive CD-I. Wish I had that roller though.

a page of marketing material for the phillips cd-i including a golf game and escape from cybercity (that one sucks bad) and pinball (which is also shit). Also the actual game we're looking at is listed as coming soon, always a good sign.

kids stuff for the CD-I, including the roller controller which is a fun looking track ball for kids to use a mouse basically.

The outside case is actually a slipcase, inside is a solid grey case and INSIDE that is the actual disc, the instructions for the game are the rather bare black and white printout but don't worry through the power of multimedia the game explains with VOICES how to play it repeatedly.

Zombie Dinos From Planet Zeltoid - I mean just look at it, literally impossible to not want to own this masterpiece of 90s media. An edutainment game about dinosaurs for phillips mostly doomed CD based media unit. If you've never seen this style of CD-I case, they are very nice to hold.
