Futaba's timeskip design is probably my favorite because it's the opposite of her "post-merge design." While her post-merge design inherits the glasses from Futaba #1 and ponytail from Futaba #2, her timeskip design inherits the straight hair from Futaba #1 and contacts from Futaba #2.

I like this anime I swear I just think the adaptation has some problems

The anime ditches all subtlety and completely recontextualizes this scene, not even mentioning the context of Uzuki's school situation but instead bringing up random reasons. There's no correlation between the incident and her reaction anymore.

The novels don't spell out to you why Uzuki is upset, but you're able to piece it together with context. Uzuki was one of those kids who grew up being unable to attend school, and it's this moment where it finally clicks in her head what people really thought about her back them.

I've been wanting to complain about this scene since I read Lost Singer but I've only just gotten around to it now. The anime adaptation completely misinterpreted what made Uzuki upset in this scene in a way that I think really hurts the story.

I was wondering what slayhem was called in the Japanese version and it turns out it's "kyoki" written in katakana which sounds like "狂気" meaning insanity and "凶器" meaning weapon. The localization seems to have adapted the double meaning into a pun and I think that's neat.

As a nerd about fonts, I notice this a lot too. I remember the Switch 2 version of Kirby and the Forgotten Land uses the font too. My brain will just always associate the font with Danganronpa even though it's just a stock font.
