Twice today, we walked hand in hand in woodland; gathering strength from nature before receiving biopsy results tomorrow. Forest bathing is genuinely good for the heart, spirit and the mind.

My goal of being more eco friendly is marred by discovering 300 bags for life & cool bags in the cupboard under the stairs. We give them away with every donation and yet never run out. It’s the carrier bag equivalent of Tribbles. (*For the Trekkies among you)

Leaves were starting to drop for autumn but the storm caught the weight of the crown and tore the tree down.

Rereading Wolf Hall ( have never seen the tv adaptation) alongside A Memoir of My Former Self. ( The latter is very sharp, witty and honest) Hilary Mantel is a great loss but her books remain a sparkling gift to her readership.
