Jon Ossoff is done with this shit. And, frankly, so is the woman behind him.

As someone who lives on a street with significant street tree cover, it's worth it. These are our 110-year-old London Planes at noon on an August day a few years ago. It's a cathedral of trees, and it's fucking magical. Future generations deserve this.

We saw this last night at our local indie theater, and the crowd did indeed go nuts when the dog made it out. The whole audience vibe for the whole movie was AMAZING!

I took a screenshot from the Washington Monument camera last night (July 3rd.) You can see some sort of concert happening on the stage, but... there's what, maybe 20 people watching? Or do I just not see the crowd?

You are absolutely deluding yourself. Look at the cop's body language - from the moment he strode into the room, he was puffed up and ready for a fight. And he got into the Egyptian team person's face before anyone ever touched him.

Yeah, there's not a multi-level stadium to block it out, unfortunately. 🤷‍♀️ It's definitely not a major league park, but it can be wonderful for games when it's not balls hot. The best place to sit there for evening games is the grass hill. Otherwise you miss the sunset. ❤️

Since there's also a vanity light, we opted to put a red LED in it for night use. The cost to run it is negligible, and the switch location inconvenient, so we leave it on 24/7. We moved in and installed that bulb in April 2014. 12 years later, it's still burning. That's over **105,000** HOURS.

Incidentally, this is the bulb in our bathroom. Our house is 105 years old and has some... interesting electrical choices, including the switch for the bathroom ceiling light being outside of the bathroom.

This website is super cool - it's a live breakdown of electricity use worldwide, and they get so granular that they have greenhouse gas estimates: app.electricitymaps.com/map/live/fif...

I was curious, so I went to check Dulles. They had a similar delay rate (45%/485 flights, vs 49%/439 flights) but a lot lower cancellation rate (3%/32 flights vs 15%/135 flights.) 2nd screenshot shows expected vs actual dept times for the same window. Still delays, but not nearly as long as at DCA.

I live in a blue area that never quit wastewater testing, and I trust our local numbers. It doesn't mean I'll quit masking everywhere or quit getting a booster, but I have relaxed a bit on masking in situations where I feel are low risk (good ventilation, few people, etc.)
