Minneapolis. Librarian & union rep, among other things. Opinions etc are nothing official and all my own. My apologies, it’s hockey szn. she/her #GroguVibes
While searching for visual examples to answer Jane's question "how is Ryan Gosling's hair in The Nice Guys," I came across this image caption that is basically the thesis statement of the movie
I went to this because I love my Christopher Nolan-fan wife and also an opportunity for Riverview Theater popcorn, but that was a dang good time!!
I'm not sure even a women's league can get me enthused for baseball but I'll happily buy some merch and be a fake fan, this Boston WPBL gear is sick
Watching a thunderstorm roll in over O'Hare and calculating how long it's been since I got into a cab for the airport in Kraków 'this morning' (20 hours ago)
Got my daily gelato and now it's time to catch up on free agency in an apartment of non-hockey fans so... I'm hoping nothing shocking has occurred 👀
Ate this life-changing borscht and this delicious-though-life-changing zurek while it was 96 Fahrenheit today, feeling unstoppable
As a person who's increasingly avoiding bifocals I've started embracing this Ryland Grace style instead of my previous technique, "put glasses down briefly and immediately lose them"
I'm up earlier on the holiday than I would be for work because we are having AC installed in the living room!
Far be it from me to criticize the writers of Alchemy of Souls Part 2, but if my hair looked like this I would personally not tell a competitor that the tinge of grey at her temples signified she was getting old and losing her touch.
Feeling very fashionable having eaten this same meal including the cocktail at Hai Hai for my birthday
Solidarity with this unknown person who was also shopping at at Costco yesterday 🩵
My hot tip for watching a scary show: when the music gets creepy just take your glasses off and they can't get you
I decided to try an espresso tonic for my post-ophthalmologist treat and I have to say... I think for me it's two great tastes that don't taste great together
Love a quiz! I got William Ellery Channing which is a) pretty accurate, and b) one of like three guys whose name I knew in the results because I'm not really into theology, so I call that a win.
Did some messing around with a little gelli plate, craft paint, and some scrap papers I'd saved for collaging. None of it came out how I planned and that was quite fun!
Last day of Swedish class for the term means last night was spent going around sharing vad vi ska göra i sommar and learning this Midsommar maypole song about frogs. Vi ses i september, klasskamrater!
Multiple people asked where I'd bought this yard sign today and I told every one of them the wrong studio name; hope they all made it up a floor and into Rare Press eventually 😅 but it's also available online: rarepressmpls.com/collections/...
I made the Smitten Kitchen rhubarb snacking cake someone recommended on here recently, adding raspberries because I was short on rhubarb, and it is dang good! I did complain a lot because it's been a long time since I made a recipe calling for three mixing bowls.
Started this in fall 2024 as a celebration of the centennial and Marchand captaincy and in honor of Jack Edwards retiring; put it away in a stack of art "to-dos" for a couple of years, and I'm really happy with the end result now. Plus it feels good to cross an in-progress project off the list!
Did some very successful pre-Art-a-Whirl shopping this morning. There are a bunch of Casket Arts studios doing a relaxed open house until 4 today!
Decided to see how far I got into my Bruins centennial block print before putting it aside in Marchand trade despair and uh. I guess I could finish that up pretty fast!
Shout it to the Minneapolis waste disposal communications team because I did in fact use this technique to remember if I could recycle some plastic packaging earlier today 🫡 🤟
