We are entering an era where captains of industry are not apolitical men of numbers, but deeply political. This is not the hidden politics of neoliberalism. It is something new altogether. It is tech CEOs with thick, illiberal, ethical commitments and a desire to rule like princes.
Per the study, (and for the nerds out there) - they really do cling to some organic notion of organ-body sovereignty where the will of the “real” people has robust ethical (religious) commitments, and democratic procedures are only legit insofar as they vindicate these commitments
