Kate loves a walk.
@katelovesawalk
Loves a good walk 🚶♀️glass of wine 🍷 . Vegan 🌱 Ⓥ and WFPB🥗. We come into this world with nothing and leave with nothing. It’s what we do while we are here that matters. No DM’s unless you ask first.
#morningwalk today, was this afternoon. Walked the property boundary of a friends main paddock on their farm checking fences. Certainly got my steps in.
www.maptap.gg August 8 100🎯 100🎯 100🎯 98🔥 94🏆 Final score: 976 Should have been better on the last one. I was there less than 12 months ago.
Yep I don’t like monkeys either. These 3 tried to chase us off to steal our towels and clothes.
Dozens injured as earthquake hits near Naples in seismic swarm. So sad to hear this, Japan earlier in the week and now Italy.
@tinnedtoms.bsky.social made your gnocchi & roast vegetables today. Added some pumpkin and beetroot. Changed the dressing to a mustard & maple syrup dressing. www.tinnedtomatoes.com/2020/04/easy...
I hope it is on your must do list. We organised our own tour of the places we wanted to visit. Such a magical place. Shetland is also a wonderful place to visit. Unfortunately you can’t take photos inside maeshowe.
Happy with todays #sourdough loaf, white and emmer flour with grains.
Had a lovely lunch today at Nurcha vegan restaurant Kawana Sunshine Coast. Thai yellow curry, cheesy garlic bread and nachos.
Visiting my SIL for a few days. Arrived to find she already had visitors in the front garden.
Yes we have lots of doubles, and many blank and decorative buttons. We have found many military buttons as well from the early 1800’s. OH said he will have a look later. This is the one he found yesterday.
Morning @tinnedtoms.bsky.social made your dirty rice again yesterday. It is sooo delicious I have made it a few times now. Great to freeze. I use it often when I go places that are not #vegan so I have a decent meal.
#sunrise today 6.06am and 5 degrees. Must be nuts to be out of my warm bed at this time #retirement.
#morningwalk today was early and nice and warm for this time of year.
Take a wander in the gardens. It is full of Roman ruins and statues.
Down off the mountain today on the Jimbour plains west of #bunyamountains. Corellas are waiting for crops to ripen for a feed. It will be weeks yet. They can be flocks of hundreds and very destructive to trees and crops.
Two wallabies on the lawn mowing this morning. Then the kookaburra turned up and gave me a big smile.
Currently drinking a nice bottle of red I won today in a raffle. With very nice New Zealand dark almond chocolate. Unfortunately I have finished the chocolate before the wine.
#sourdough loaf today was stoneground white, wholemeal and emmer flour. With lots of mixed seeds. Someone who will remain nameless stole the heel off the loaf.
While I was out picking oranges the fire tail finches (or red brow finches) were following me as I stirred up the grass.
Thankyou @chrisadee.bsky.social most where on the ground with the wind the other day. Not too many left now. I’m thinking marmalade with some of the mountain limes and lemons.
#morningwalk today, again in the wet dripping clouds. Going to be a few more days of this before it clears. Mother Nature out early in the day after a cold night.
No #morningwalk today. Rained overnight and now in the wet clouds again for the next week! Ho hum life in the #Bunyamountains
Today’s lunch an experiment for me. Heart of palms cooked as sea scallops ( you can do them as calamari) crumbed in panko bread crumbs with garlic, onion, paprika. Marinated in a little caper juice, Dijon mustard, vegan mayo and some nori cut up. Nice!!
