Multi-tailwinded, lucky son of a gun posteur (Not here to sell anything. Please don't follow me if that's ALL you're here for. Also, I don't always follow back (esp. if your timeline mainly contains the same political stuff I'm already getting lots of)).
Out for a walk yesterday and... would you believe.... it discovered another.... #AccidentalHepworth
You've got to hand it to Somerset House....they've created the perfect way in to the Escher exhibition
The Courtauld also has a lovely standing collection if Impressionism (among other things) is your thing
I remember that episode of Sex and the City where Carrie declared you could tell Out of Towners if the woman had a scrunchie in her hair. I'm looking at my feet and thinking "hmm, I'm probably identifiable too".
Finally got my favourite Cornish photo onto my Bluesky phone. Blooming love this pic...St Michael's Mount from the end of a road in Marazion
Not saying I was an early adopter or anything but... wild swimming, a new fad?... Pshaw
We were looking through loads of old photos at home today looking for something to send for a relative's wake. I found this.... Only on closer inspection did I realise I was wearing a t-shirt that was ....oddly appropriate for the day (photo was around about 1979).
Glad to see that my sole Crocosmia - which proliferates all over Cornwall - started its run in my absence.
A lovely thing - that you can utterly not see from the perspective of this photo - is that when your shack is dug into a trench, the lawn comes up to meet you at the bathroom window... (if I were 4in taller I could touch it)
I was going to say this was passive-aggression Cornish-style but really it's gone beyond the passive bit hasn't it...?
Decided to change round my "head of the bed" orientation for optimal wake-up on my final day...
I'm assuming this is another variety of Aeonium. Bloody marvellous in these parts...
And the Procters are both buried in the church yard....you can just make out Dod's name...
There's a gem of a church in tiny St Hilary. Lots of Newlyn and others artists' works there. This is by Annie Walke, wife of Vicar Bernard. Joan of Arc.
There's the Good Housekeeping perfection and then there's the Tracey Emin reality.
Bold as brass these clifftop bunnies. It'd be a different story if I were a farmer and had a gun....
Wowee... the prettiest of sea frets has rolled in over St Ives. Rather spooky mist. In fact it's making this photo look a little like an Alfred Wallis.
Well ....no prizes for guessing why this self-portrait of Aleksandra Kasuba at Tate St Ives appealed to me...
Well, the Barbara Hepworth Studio and Gardens fully lived up to expectations...
