Boxes packed for tomorrow’s book event so now time to do a bit more work on Iron Crown: Designer Daughters - think I’m somewhere between 50-60% through the first draft.
I may have just derailed the writing process only four bags a day max is allowed!
Started the new series: Iron Crown - book 1: Designer Daughters on the 2/6. Here’s where I’m finishing June - hoping to have the it done by the end of Aug so I can take it to my writers groups and beta readers. This is an update post: I’m not currently looking for any more beta readers or editors.
Sorry I’ve not been around much: it’s for the best possible reason, I’ve been writing - I started the new book series on 2/6 & I’m now 50k into book one & probably at the halfway point, I’ve also met with my book artist to design the covers with her & come up with the working titles for the series
That feeling when you start writing a new character, I love writing her, she’s warm, funny, brave and a key emotional support for the protagonist while having vulnerability that will make the reader love her - hmm I may need to kill hef off 😉
Got to say I’m loving the first book in my new series - 15 chapters and 30k into it and I can’t stop thinking about it, but back to the day job and annual leave ends tomorrow so this will slow down. Only other negative is I’m starting to think my mind is seriously twisted. These books are dark!
So I have started writing a new series - it is The Testaments meets The Hunger Games meets Dark Angel (TV show) - set in a near future Britain which has been destroyed by the far right and climate change. It is not an instruction guide - more a warning. And it will be very dark!
