Watched ep 2 of Beyond Evil. This is such a good rewatch, oh my god. I first finished watching it the 8th of Jan. Then I rated it 8,5/10. After having rewatched the first 2 eps, I must upgrade to 9. I think they were always back there, biding their time. Oh Jihwa, saying it how it is! 😘

Then, the swirling tendrils part, and the creature comes into view. The face is pale, the features delicate, cold, and hauntingly beautiful. A set of red, glowing eyes curiously peer at Lan Wangji, and the lush, full lips curl into a cruel smile.

“What have we here? A little prince got lost and found his way to my humble abode. Oh, what shall I do with you, little prince? Why did you come to seek out the Yiling patriarch?”

Or: In search of relief for his aching need, a young mer — Lan Wangji, the second prince of the Misty Abysses of the Gusu Lan expanse, enters the mountain. It is said that an ancient evil dwells within its depths.

Zhang Mingquan’s eyes are barely open, but they still widen when Ruolai takes aim. A breath passes his lips, the beginning of a scream. “Wait—” he gasps.

The bullet goes through his head. The entire pile of him shudders, then stills.

Tunan sighs. “You’ve always been too kind,” he says. But he makes a sound, pleased, when Ruolai draws him in ferocious and hungry, and he wastes no time in returning the kiss with the same hunger. Ruolai drops the gun in the pool of spreading blood, and clutches Tunan’s shoulders, and begins his feast.

Then, a pair of feet come into view, halting beside the basket. He looks up. Sees dark eyes, an aged face with a concerned mouth. A familiar mouth that he thought vanished from this world long ago. How…?

Jiang Cheng isn't able to finish his thought before the dizziness overtakes him and he falls into unconsciousness.

Or: An aged Jiang Cheng falls sick and unconscious while out hunting. He wakes up in the bed of someone he thought he'd never meet again.
