A photo of joy. My shelter friend Nala, an adult cat up for adoption. Her upsides is she communicates well and likes company and treat puzzles. Her downsides are she gets mad at the mats in her hair and becomes momentarily demonic sounding when one gets pulled. Fluffy Queen.
I planted this... And didn't write down what it is. Minty color is rabbit bush and prairie sage in the background. Purple flowers are a Larkspur, but I don't know what the about-to-bloom plant is
The government declared me an enemy because I believe, speak for and vote for equality. I can't magically make the populous revolt and build better for our kids, but I planted a garden because I support life being better.
Alvin the shelter cat was a very good boy yesterday. Please remind people to check shelters first when they are planning on getting a pet!
Sociology calls it "action of hope". I think of it as " my daily deep breath". In this *waves wildly* results of ego and hate world there's good worth fighting for and good we're making. My Wednesdays aren't just works of love and hope, but often adorable too. ( Add your acts or beneficiary below)
ICYMI they've again decreed that everyone who stands for equal rights, human rights and government staying the fuck out of medical care a terrorist. Yes, totally predictable. I think I have the right to shun kick everyone who told me it wouldn't happen, right?
Still gotta look up what this yellow flowering plant is, but it's nice to have a bloom
This toothless wonder is still scared of people. Working on it. He's gentle, just scared and wishes people stopped trying to pet his fluffy grey head.
I overhear it is Cat Lady Day So here's another cat photo My cat, but not MY cat.
Look, we have plants and animals and babies and artists, can y'all stop hitting the heart button on the ai slop stuff so it's not taking up the majority of my Sunday evening feed? Cool. Here's an actual photo I took of the Nibbler I did not buy.
I thought for sure this cat would be adopted before I returned to volunteering. Sad for him he's still in the shelter but amused by my time today with him.
@bookshopghost.bsky.social Thanks for being a highlight stop in our full day of travel!
What good I can do isn't necessarily flashy, but they are consistent acts . I'm an auntie cheering all the unhateful. Today's building of kindness for strangers is teeny flowers.
