Major mid-2000s energy in these developer intros... camera guy didn't need to go that hard, but did anyway. 🫡
Making my first contributions to the new redump.info site something special with some undumped marketing discs from GameStop and SCEA! Let’s preserve these and get them closer to the @hitsave.org archive! www.twitch.tv/kazoodac
I don't care much about sports, but I DO love seeing lost media found, regardless of what type! Also...this Psygnosis logo animation totally reminds me of the Doctor Who intro. Just slap the theme song in there and you're there. 🤣
Oooh cool! We've got a few Betacam tapes in the @hitsave.org archive that I still need to digitize, but I need to get our deck repaired first. We had a local shop do the tapes we released for last year's holiday event, but recently I picked up 4 tapes from a 2003 San Jose Wireless Gaming convention!
I want to open my copy and start playing but ROB is using it at the moment!
This movie had some of the coolest visual effects of the 90s. And the game was certainly...a game of the 90s as well.
The bad news is that we’re currently in the midst of the longest power outage I’ve had since I moved to Delaware in 2015…and during the hottest week of the year no less. But hey, the good news is I finally have an excuse to put my gadgets to work keeping the fridge and freezer running!
New in the @hitsave.org archive today: a Japanese Square Enix brochure from 2005! I've never been a big JRPG guy, but this was a hell of a lineup. archive.hitsave.org/ark:/78322/2... Yes, I did irresponsibly procrastinate my actual work by turning this into a 3D animation...why do you ask? 😅
And ever since this SP variant came out, we've all been wondering whether or not this tattoo is canon:
You'll be in for a treat! Here's a little preview, courtesy of Top Gun for NES 😆
I'll try to get the tape up on the Hit Save archive sooner rather than later. I was originally planning to save them for an NES-related anniversary, but people have been waiting long enough! 🤣
Finally got around to digitizing the Scandinavian Nintendo Point-of-Sale VHS tapes that @hitsave.org bought late last year. No new content, but a lot of old #NES ads in much higher quality than I've found online! The majority of them are still in English too, which is a pleasant surprise!
Super proud to have been able to help Nine Dots bring Mr. Potato to life for this #Outward2 video! Unquestionably one of the funniest and most creative projects I’ve worked on in ages!
So today I learned that commercial VHS tapes had an indent on the spine that prevented them from being recorded over, but savvy consumers were able to defeat this protection by taping over said indent. Cool stuff...except that means there might not be much Namco left on these Japanese Namco tapes 🫠
You could write a short story on every single one of these faces, but major props to the kid napping on the couch in the background.
Mission complete. I also upgraded the chassis fan while I was in the neighborhood. Now we wait a day for the adhesive to bond.
Fed up with the incessant whine of this fan, time for a Noctua upgrade
My first pass at my workshop setup using @jonasrosland.bsky.social's app, with some added context and feedback! retrogamecabling.com if anyone wants to try it out for themselves!
Sounds like we would have gotten along. I didn't get my Wii until late 2007, but I had exact change ready in an envelope for the first store on my call list that had one in stock. Meanwhile I was playing a lot of GCN and DS, and even convinced my family to get a DS with Brain Age for my grandfather!
I'm enjoying this new gmail feature for the most part, but come on Google, it's Sunday. It ain't getting here today.
