Kentucky Bluegrass Politics
@kbgpolitics
Views from across the spectrum, with a focus on KY; the impacts our legislators have had on the nation and the KY press apparatus' abject failure to adequately inform their readers on critical issues. We stand at the precipice they helped create.
Anti-vaxxer Rand Paul is yet another KY politician enabled by this state's already worthless corporate press establishment. His rants have undoubtedly helped to cause needless suffering and death but it's a topic our "journalists" here won't even breech.
Scott claims he "didn't know" but in a previous life I interned as an accountant and I can say from experience that wealthy ppl as a rule don't make their money by being ignorant of where every penny comes from and where it's going. It was his company. He co-founded it and was the CEO.
@kenklippenstein.bsky.social - IMO, Al Cross is part of the problem. In the past he has boasted of his close friendship with McConnell and the dinners they'd share together even as the impacts of McConnell policies went unreported and the victims not given a voice.
It's my belief that Joel Pett was let go from the Lexington Herald Leader (@kentucky.com ) because he was one of the few who dared remind readers what #MoscowMitch was really up to, daring to tread waters none of their "journalists" dared to enter. To this day they're still whitewashing his legacy.
Mitch McConnell fought against health-care reform for years. The toll in lives lost as a result may never be known, in part because journalists in Kentucky never saw fit to ask. Today's Word: priorities
Me. Doomscrolling through the morning's political headlines. With apologies to Mr. Arnaz. 😂
Putting far too much faith in the state's Trump loving legislators who've show little reason to be trusted. #CitizensUnited
What the press in Kentucky refuses to talk about when they do "journalism" on the state's politicians... www.rawstory.com/raw-investig...
If I were a younger lad, I'd move back there in a heartbeat. I❤️NY
