DraftKings, FanDuel and Fanatics have put $41 million into a new group, Win for America, according to a Wednesday filing with the Federal Election Commission. The striking total signals that the group is likely to be one of the biggest spenders in the 2026 election cycle.

Win for America operates two other outside groups: American Future, which will engage in Democratic primary races, and American Conservative Fund, which will focus on Republican ones.

Trump is already revising history and throwing people under the bus for the reflecting pool mess.

Last month, the Interior Department hired a Virginia firm, Atlantic Industrial Coatings, to repair, resurface and paint the pool. President Trump said publicly that he had recommended the firm because of good work it did on the swimming pools at one of his golf clubs.

However, Mr. Trump did an about-face early Tuesday, distancing himself from the company. “I didn’t give out the contract, ‘Interior’ did, to a contractor I did not know, and have never used before,” Mr. Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform.

Asked to explain Mr. Trump’s reversal, a White House official said that the president did not have a personal relationship with this contractor, but that as a private citizen and builder, he was familiar with the company’s previous work. The official asked not to be named to describe the president’s relationship with the company.

Phil Mendelson seems to be the only person left on the National Capital Planning Commission who's not a Trump sycophant.

“This is the People’s House, this is not Donald Trump’s, or Joe Biden’s or the next president’s,” said Phil Mendelson, who sits on the planning commission in his role as the chairman of the D.C. Council. He has been a lone objector trying to raise these questions before the commission.

Now, barring intervention by the courts, time is apparently up to resolve them.

“I still don’t understand,” Mr. Mendelson said, “why the ceiling height has to be 40 feet.”

As he repeated to Kelly, Sheehy says he fell while hiking, which made his gun go off – and the only reason he went to the hospital was because he was worried the bullet already in his arm from his service in Afghanistan might have become dislodged.

Sheehy nonetheless also contends that he refused to report being shot in Afghanistan by friendly fire because he did not want his fellow military members to face an investigation over a relatively small injury, as he put it in his interview with Kelly.

DOJ is stating that every single "sensationalist" claim about Trump in the files is false.

This production may include fake or falsely submitted images, documents or videos, as everything that was sent to the FBI by the public was included in the production that is responsive to the Act. Some of the documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election. To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they have a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already.

Keyes was from out of state, so you can eliminate any established political base; both candidates were black, so you can factor out racism; and Keyes was plainly, obviously, completely crazy. Batshit crazy. Head-trauma crazy. But 27% of the population of Illinois voted for him. They put party identification, personal prejudice, whatever ahead of rational judgement. Hell, even like 5% of Democrats voted for him. That's crazy behaviour. I think you have to assume a 27% Crazification Factor in any population.

ICE is even more dysfunctional than you might expect.

I told him that I was fine with office work—with my analyst background, it seemed like a better fit for my skill set anyway. His attitude shift was subtle, but instant and unmistakable; this was the wrong attitude and the wrong answer. “Just to be upfront, the goal is to put as many guns and badges out in the field as possible,” he said.

But if they missed the fact that I was an anti-ICE journalist who didn’t fill out her paperwork, what else might they be missing? How many convicted domestic abusers are being given guns and sent into other people’s homes? How many people with ties to white supremacist organizations are indiscriminately targeting minorities on principle, regardless of immigration status? How many rapists and pedophiles are working in ICE detention centers with direct and unsupervised access to a population that will be neither believed nor missed? How are we to trust ICE’s allegedly thorough investigations of the people they detain and deport when they can’t even keep their HR paperwork straight?
