It is by NO means accurate, as recent research shows. But it has always been one of my all-time favorites. My husband & I still use, “Blah, blah, blah Ginger!” as a short-hand joke for any situation where someone is talking & the other person/dog/cat/kid is obviously not listening/comprehending.

I can NOT put this book down! If you are into birds, or any of the natural sciences, aviation, or the history of conservation or women in science, or the Smithsonian—this book is for you!! Thank you, Chris Sweeney, for such a compelling biography of a fascinating & unsung hero.
