Most of us wouldn't have time to post a meme. Great read about a hypothetical nuclear strike.
Total insanity! 24 minutes from hypothetical launch in N Korea to annihilation of DC. Truly no way for any of us to live with this hanging over our heads every few years.
Only 7:45 on here on Canada's west coast, but since it is now Christmas almost everywhere else....wishing you joy, love, happiness, good health and hope. Merry Christmas.
Beautiful day on Vancouver Island to celebrate Thanksgiving Day (Canada) and Indigenous Peoples Day (US) from Nanaimo BC on the traditional lands of the Snuneymuxw People.
Here's an ad they are running on Vancouver Island. Another promise with no substance. You cannot ax every tax known to mankind and still have money left for programs. #neverpoilievre
I'm going to re-read my collection of nuclear horror books (and 1 great parody). Unless someone is far enough way there is no way to escape an actual nuclear bomb blast, ditto for fallout. Remember nukes from/to U.S./Russia travel over the N. Pole and are intercepted mostly over Canada.
It's fiction written in 1965, but it's a US Pres wanting Canada for it's resources...and then Scandinavia...and later Europe.
It's 6pm March 16 here on the West Coast, but it is March 17 in Ireland so Happy St Patrick's Day to all that celebrate.
Great find at my library! The book is actually Night of Camp David by Fletcher Knebel written in 1965. Can't wait to see what insights it may have. Note that it is fiction.
Wow! I graduated in 1965, also went to 188, and lived between Neptune & Mermaid. I then went to Bay Ridge HS when it was still girls only, then on to CUNY before emigrating to Canada.
