Crème Brule oatmeal the Mifflin Tea Room in Bonavista NFLD. Not to be missed especially on a rainy damp day .
Tenacity isn’t about necessarily succeeding but rather about trying and giving it your all .
It was great to run into Council candidate Michelle Groulx at my recent book chat at the Emerald Plaza library in Ward 9.
Please join me July 6 from 6:30-8:00 at the Emerald Plaza branch of the Ottawa Public Library. You can hear me talk about my new book and snack on some of the best desserts in Ottawa. The event is free but requires a registration through the library website. See you there.
Want to find out more about my book, “Tenacious Little F*cker”? Here is a comment posted on Linkedin from Ottawa poet(and so much more, Gord Garner). I will be at the Indigo Kanata location Sunday June 28th from 11-2:00. Looking forward to the conversations.
Don’t worry if you missed my book launch or earlier signings. I will be at Kanata Indigo June 28th in the afternoon. Looking forward to conversations about “Tenacious Little F*cker”. See you there.
The performance of Tenacious Little F*cker in the Ottawa Public Library continues to amaze me and warm my heart in equal parts . 5 copies in the collection. Consistently, holds in the double digits. The book is borrowed, read and talked about. And we need to talk about survivors and their families.
I just finished this book by @bobbyrae48.bsky.social . It was written a few years ago which is a pity because I would have loved to read what he thinks of the world currently and the various new players since he wrote this fine book. Interested in politics read this book . It is a must.
Perfect kind of day to stay in out of the rain and watch a good movie. 40 years on this is not just a good movie it is a great one.
Spaces are still available for this important learning opportunity. I hope to see you there.
Some of the many speakers expressing thanks for the work of so many volunteers who collected thousands of lbs of food as part of the Ottawa Summer Food Drive . So thankful for NROCRC being able to participate in this amazing initiative.
Going to be a great day for election canvassing in Ottawa today. I wish all candidates the best of days. Knock on those doors, have those conversations and above all else stay hydrated.
There appears to be a disconnect in this park in my community . Perhaps removal of the “convenient by the bench old style garbage can” might promote use of the new recycling station. Amongst all this talk about infrastructure renewal don’t we want nice parks?
Very thankful to be included in this session as a board member of NROCRC and as a survivor/author. Hope to see you there.
I will be signing copies of my book, “Tenacious Little F*cker” tomorrow, June 6 from 1-3:00 at Books on Beechwood . I look forward to seeing you there and having some great conversations .
Every politician making decisions about supervised consumption sites should read this piece in the Ottawa Citizen.
I found out on the weekend that I sold a copy of Tenacious Little F*cker to someone in Australia. They purchased it off of Amazon. So if you are curious about the book but don’t live in Canada there are options . 😁
No I am not running again but I did come across this gently used fridge magnet while sorting stuff for the upcoming give away weekend . A bit like a time capsule find 😄
Good breakfast, good friends and a good book. What more could you ask for ? Maybe a signed copy of “Tenacious Little F*cker? If so I will be at Indigo in South Keys this Saturday May 23rd from noon till 3:00. See you there .
Who knew I would ever have a book in the library let alone on the hold list. Thank you Ottawa Public Library.
Happy to announce my book “ Tenacious Little F*cker” is now available at Spaniel’s Tale on Wellington . @jleiper.bsky.social
