After the game, people were filing back to their cars, and as the crowds thinned out we spotted the Bens walking anonymously in their Phillies jerseys. We said hi but didn’t bother them. I asked them if they had good seats. 😄 #askwxm
#askwxm Oh yeah, the game was really fun too! 😆 Surrounded by great people, all Wrexham fans, having a great time. The announcer got all the players’ names wrong (“a yellow card for Charlie Hyam”) and any time Ollie Rathbone’s name was announced the crowd went WILD.

Thrilled to meet Wrex. ❤️ While we were first waiting in line to get a picture, he was right by the entrance. A cranky but polite lady came over and asked him to move because he was in the Sunderland fan area. 😂 So he jauntily led a fan parade across to another area.
Fan zone thread - Ancestry.com membership perks - priority access lane for the merch table and at “The Turf”! I liked the new home kit much better in person so I shelled out for it. (1/3)
The drummer of the Declan Swans told my husband they were performing at 9 am before the fan zone opened the next morning so we showed up. Pretty sure this was a private event we were not otherwise invited to because there was free food and bar! 😂 The Bens and Steven Fletcher were back.
The microphone quality was TERRIBLE so I hope they still post the podcast. Steven Fletcher demonstrated that if he held his mic karaoke-style, it seemed to work better. We got the opening notes of Righteous Brothers or Lionel Ritchie out of a few of them 🤣
While they were setting up for the podcast, Ben Foster plopped down in the seat next to me to eat his dinner. After beseeching my inner nerd/fangirl to “be cool”, I spilled my Wrexham Lager. 🤦🏻♀️ Thank God I didn’t spill it ON Ben Foster. He very politely pretended not to notice.
I got to talk music stuff with Scoot and the Declan Swans! (New bucket list item: collaboration 😆) Bob McElhenney and Maxine were there, as well as Michael Williamson, who announced Smudge’s contract extension. 😀

Mickey Thomas was so humble and just a lovely, lovely man. I had a nice conversation with him. I happened to see him the next day and he remembered me and came over to me! (Or at least did a really good job pretending to remember me!)
Everyone was just lovely and exactly like they seem on camera, and incredibly funny too. Here’s me and the Bens, who were awesome. They were wearing matching Bryce Harper jerseys but Ben F told me they didn’t actually really know who he was! I’ll make this a thread.
I got to go to the “That Wrexham Podcast” live taping and party. I met some fabulous fans including a lovely couple from Wrexham. I walked up to check in and Wayne from the Turf was just standing right there. He was part of the podcast, as well as Ben Foster, Ben Tozer, and Steven Fletcher.
I need to thank my husband who shares none of my Wrexham interest but came along for one of the most incredible weekends ever in Philly, helped with the #askwxm party, and bought me a ticket to the podcast taping party for an early birthday present. He is the absolute best.
We are headed to Subaru park and my husband is actually wearing Wrexham gear. What a day! #askwxm

My dog is an uncommon breed (wire fox terrier). Out on our walk today, a guy told me he used to have a friend that had a couple like mine. "Tomie dePaola - you know, the children's author?" And then he just walked off. Leaving me with a LOT of questions! (Turns out TdP had Welsh terriers.)
