So beautiful! I’ve never seen anything like it. This is a purslane that volunteered in my front garden.
Hi Christopher! Good to see you! These lilies were given to me by a friend last year. They came from her mother’s garden.
I enjoy your gardening posts! Here is my first harvest. My first year to try anything other than cherry tomatoes. I’m pretty pleased!
I also have a freedom lawn which I never water. It grows fast so I do mow once a week. In spring (March here) it’s a carpet of spring beauties and in fall it’s a field of asters and bees. In between, kids and pets are welcome.
XAI is taking about a million gallons of water a day from the Memphis aquifer. Why is the Memphis Chamber of Commerce website lying about it?
I’m in an urban area and new to vegetable gardening. I started with a few types of plants in my sunny front yard. I’m so excited that they are growing and producing!!
I found this big fella an hour ago. I’m very excited because I usually only have monarch caterpillars in my area before April and after August!

Andy with his kids Christmas 2021. "The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that's good." - Andy
This is my first spring Monarch! Its egg was laid on honeyvine milkweed on March 12. He eclosed on May 12. Isn’t he handsome!! #Butterflies #nature #joy
Your peony is a beautiful color!! Mine has bloomed better than ever this year.
Happy Earth Day Rain! Got a gift from the Earth this morning when I found this Monarch caterpillar!!
Newly eclosed spicebush swallowtail drying in the sun. Found this morning! #ButterflyWeek #Butterfly #Nature #Joy
I’m in! Black swallowtail (male) emerged after overwintering in my carport. I still have 10 spicebush swallowtails soon to come! #ButterflyWeek
These are beautiful! Also a peaceful place to walk! I live in a city. I use no lawn chemicals. My yard is filled with wildflowers in spring and fall along with the pollinators. My neighbors on either side are annoyed. I’m trying to teach them that wildflowers are not “weeds”! Pic is Fall.
Feeling heavy today. So much bad stuff going on. Here are some blooms from my garden. Please share your garden pics with me. I really need to see beautiful things!
