Looks familiar to me. Here is a shot of my 1936 Gibson L-37, which my great-aunts played on the radio during the Depression. The maple sides and back give it a distinctive tone. It seems weird to say, but I’ve had it for fifty years!
Hope. I didn’t realize how much I needed this moment. The promise of America lives on. I can’t believe I’m alone in feeling this way.
My God. The opening ceremony of the Obama Center is a beautiful display of American hope, diversity, and integrity. What a contrast to the pathetically stupid display at the White House last weekend.
We had a sweet little visitor in one of our garden beds. I set him free after taking his photo. I love the spring!
Happy Earth Day 2026. Mills Lake in RMNP in September 2025. #EarthDay
#NoKings in Morehead, Ky. I estimate that we got 30 honks or thumbs up to every middle finger or “Get a Job.”
One of my favorite spots on earth. I’ve never visited in winter, though. Here’s a photo from late September in the same spot.
Most Days: God, I hate the StairMaster. Some Days: God, I love the StairMaster. #RMNP
Thanks for sharing. I hiked to Black Lake on 30 September. It looked a little different!
I visited the Loch last September. It was one of my late father’s favorite hikes. I went on to Timberline Falls.
#WaterfallWednesday. This is Chasm Falls on Fall River Road in #RMNP. This photo was taken in September 2023.
#WaterfallWednesday That’s me below Alberta Falls in #RMNP in late September.
#WaterfallWednesday. This is Ribbon Falls, just below Black Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park on 30 September of this year. This place haunts my dreams. #RMNP
How did I not know about #WaterfallWednesday? That’s me below Timberline Falls in Rocky Mountain National Park in late September. #RMNP
I’m trying desperately to get that image of the East Wing of the White House being demolished out of my head. Here’s a little clip of Ribbon Falls just below Black Lake in #RMNP. I was lucky to visit a couple of weeks ago.
The world is one messed up place right now, but I am determined to find peace and joy in the natural world. I took this photo in #RMNP in late September. This is Bear Lake.
When I’m in RMNP, I love to see mule deer. At home in Kentucky, I love the white tail deer that come through every day.
Please support Ned Pillersdorf, Democratic candidate for Kentucky’s 5th District. He is our best shot in a long time to replace Hal Rogers. nedforcongress.com #nedforcongress
Times are tough. But #TongueOutTuesday” helps get me through. That’s Milo.
I love a gray striped cat with a peach-colored tummy. We have two! Here’s one of them,
Look at the cool t-shirt I picked up at the #NoKingsRally in Morehead, Ky. I spoke with a local pediatrician who said that 70 percent of her patients are covered by Medicaid.
Somehow, this album got me through the Covid lockdown. I love Johnny Winter, but Rick Derringer's songwriting, background vocals, and guitar work added a ton to this band. And their live album has always been one of my favorites. RIP Rick Derringer.
North Bridge in Concord, MA. This shot was taken last October from the grounds of the Old Manse. The bridge was closed for repairs. This is where it all began 250 years ago today. #NoKings
