Turns out that I also forgot the butter. Was going to have broccoli, but I ate a lot of that this week.
Cooked some corn and rice while I have access to the hotel's rice cooker. Extra for other nights.
Gorgeous night. Wish there was a bar at this hotel to get a cold drink.
Bringing back some of the stuff squirreled away. Forgot to bring back the soy sauce for tonight's rice. Face palm.
We tried to use smoke on the evil. It backfired, so we’re building a wall.
I really need to take a picture of the food I squirrel away at work in between gigs. I always fool myself into thinking I will remember exactly 💯 what is there. Pretty sure I ordered some duplicates, might be missing some stuff I want. With any luck, might get somethin other than Panda next wk.
Desk Jesus and the blob cat have left the building. This guy showed up and I think he's already telling me to Duck Off.
It happened a second time, but this was an upgrade I shelled out for.
I have the most agreeable seat mates on this otherwise full plane.
I picked up new ear buds since I think I left my airpods 🙃 in the RV. Oh well, they were ready for replacement anyhow. I'm still mad about the removal of headphone jacks from phones and other devices. We should have the right to choose and not be dependent on these things that need to charge first!
I'm enjoying my last iced cappuccino and cruller. The USA departures area is very much almost empty. Just a small handful at Westjet. I hope some staff comes to the check-in at UA soon.
Seems like a good day to remind you of the mute words function to reduce the harm to your mental health.
Got a torrential downpour and a bit of hail. Seems to be subsiding now. It’s sure been a wet season in Edmonton this summer.
Suitcase and carry ons packed better for the way back. Only minus my paint clothes, a shampoo and conditioner bottle. Still, it all fits better this time.
It’s kind of funny that I am sleeping in the shitty guest bed and the dog has the master bedroom.
Visiting dad and step mom. Old people nap at current, so I am enjoying the yard. Bird landed on top of their owl "deterrent" yesterday. I think they've got it figured out.
Drove back to Edmonton. As usual, the turnoff to the Henday was a parking lot and I just hoped nobody slammed into the long row of cars standing still on the highway. Put up with the crawl to the Whitemud and made it back to my brother's house. Laundry in progress. Cooler emptied.
Washed my hair last night, but ran out of hot water for the rest. Furnace not on this morning. If I was staying, I would have to switch to the 2nd propane bottle. Good timing. Electric heater on. Coffee and muffin. Good sleep last night. It now feels like it's ok to finish closing up and go.
Those steps used to be the front stoop to my grandparents house.
I decided on the barbecue instead of a fire because I want a walk by the lake and a shower before bed. It's a gorgeous evening and I wish so badly that I could stay longer. I have to visit dad and take care of Jack the fur nephew starting Friday night. One last night out at the lake.
Enjoying the last of this night. Watching the sky get darker like it might rain. Listening to this fire crackle.
