Today on a call hearing about people’s experience of social care. Very important and part of my job. Behind me I could hear the adorable dog I was puppy sitting for friends shredding some paper work. Me: don’t let it be important (whilst looking interested) Others: is that fear in her eyes?

As ever the beaches in Northumberland were rammed* I can count on one hand the people I passed on this walk.
Also pleased to see I’m closest to Ireland in my thinking.
