I just noticed and figured out what this spot on our window is. On July 4 I heard fireworks hit our living room window. If they had broken the glass we would have had a fire in the living room. If it hadn't watered my garden my front yard would have been on fire. This was intentional.

An hour later in the shade.

A thermometer shows the outside temp is 103, with inside temp 73. The inside temp is actually around 77 but the thermometer is next to the register in the floor so the ambient temp in that area is colder.

I did it you guys. First stop is VCA Beacon Hill for well check and vaccines. The 4yo got to be surprised at pick up, the 9yo will learn after camp today.

A small gray tabby sleeps in her carrier unaware of the chaos she will be joining once she goes home. She'll probably be the source of a lot of it.

Reminder: if you're able to put out water for the local wildlife they will be so happy! Pie plates, platters with raised sides, the tops of plastic storage containers...anything that can hold water is good. Or just let them inside, that's fine too. Whatever floats your boat.
