In April a fox mother brought her 6 pups to my neighbor's shed under which is a groundhog den. They stayed there for about a month. It was fun watching them from my kitchen window and back porch as they played and wrestled with each other. Here they are with a squirrel carcass.
I was in central Missouri and was awestruck when I saw it that same night.
Earlier this week a vixen moved her pups to a new den to wean them. The den is under this shed. It's been fun watching them cavort and play from my kitchen window. The mother checks on them every morning. PS: I'm glad I don't raise chickens.
