Busy weather day on my 38th trip around the sun, but it worked out in the end. Got the show in safely!
Smooth weather support today and being able to see one of my favorite bands, Foo Fighters!
Likely embedded tornadoes in the outer bands tracking from north to south in Super Typhoon Bavi.
My wife and I pronounce the word "promenade" differently and disagreed who was correct. So we opened the latest Merriam-Webster dictionary. We're both right. Toddler - "big book"
Probably won't do the thing givmen the surface flow, which is good, but see how the mergers evolve it. I still bet it looks great.
I'd be sheltering if southeast of this thing... So Woodbury, MN to River Falls, WI
Wow. Bet this thing looks good. Unfortunately in a high high population area.
Keeping this one professional, those who know me, know me. I had a unique experience as the on-site met for the UFC event... Stressed is an understatement, but pleasure collaborating with the NWS and WHMO/PWO. I'll never forget this. Took a long walk and rest today.
Dumb hobby. Left late this morning, got to Hawarden, IA, then drove back northeast to play the cells on the WF. Wimpy rope from 8+ miles away, estimated near Welcome, MN. Deserving of a back of camera photo. Still counts! 2 for 2 on the season.
Main cell east of FSD just not chasable IMO. Trying for some of these cells near Spencer. Doesn't look half bad to the southwest and I hear thunder.
Preaching to the choir here, but a radar site mear/west of Allentown would still be nice.
Well that was an interesting day. 2.5" of rain this morning in about 1.5 hours! Drainage at the course is incredible. Another day tomorrow.
Long but good day with showers that were always right in the edge of being sparky, largely producing lightning when they moved offshore and away from the course. I like to think I kept everything outside our thresholds.
In Florida for several days for work. It was damn hot down here today! Front tomorrow will keep me busy.
Kinda neat. Cicada exoskeleton that survived winter under the fence, just hanging on.
Cruised around Buena Vista, CO this morning. Breezy, but clear skies, and mountain roads.
This was about 5-8 minutes after that post. Just cranked and cranked, then finally condensed. #mnwx Will sort through video and photos later.
Caught one of my personal bests near Gilmore City, IA 4 years ago today! It's warm, a touch humid, and the clouds are streaming north today. My mood is the best it has been in weeks.
