"Tax points" don't really exist as a transfer. I'm with the provs on this one.
"Lorry" was a sucky word, New York Times. Still not as bad as "PSHAW" which ruined my streak because that's a really dumb "word".
But also, don't get hung up on 'dollar for dollar' tariff battles. That's really limited thinking. We have other ways to fight back, too. Think of Beatrix vs. Elle in Kill Bill 2. Sword blow matched by sword blow until.....Beatrix wins by smartly changing the terms of battle. Be like Beatrix!
Don't be Ephialtes. You may get to wear a fun hat at Mar-A-Lago for a day or two, but it a) won't get the outcome you want and b) you'll also lose your dignity. Maybe you don't care about (b) but surely you care about (a).
I find myself cheering for England, but this is just so pathetic. (After the Norway goal.) 'why didn't you refs call my dive and instead just let them go play soccer and score'
This is literally how I use WhatsApp photos in my sad boring life. I did not AI-ify the grocery store pics last night and I really dont think I ever will!
I choose "Anime". Kind of fun looking, I guess. But would anyone actually pay for this? Does my spouse want the price tag on cherry tomatoes at Safeway that I'm sending her to sparkle? Anyway maybe I'm just a boring literal person who doesn't want cartoon shoe pics!
Every picture I take with WhatsApp it pushes me to "restyle with AI". Most of my pics are really boring things like e.g. my foot or a price sticker at the grocery store "ooh cherry tomatoes on sale" for my spouse. What is the use case for the "restyle" here? I honestly have no clue.
Allez les diables rouges! Tonight, I shall drink flavoured beer and snack on fries with mayo and gaufres. (Gaufres bruxelloise pas liégeoise--trop sucré.)
Endpoint of yesterday's hike. Seymour Bay above the golf course on Bowen Island.
Waved silk moss and yarrow. Also, helicopter pad atop Radar Hill.
"Tax Crime, Organized Crime, and Public Finance" A Canadian Tax Journal Policy Forum. Find out more and submit proposals here: ctf.ca/EN/Publicati... Deadline is July 15th.
Landing spot for Kaz's 5th deck homerun last night. A good knock!
Red Maple. Planted in 2005. First pic is 2008 (during Moira flooding season....). 2nd Pic is today. It grew!
On the left, foxgloves on Bowen Island. Can be 6-8 feet high. Florettes on two strips on one side only. On the right, lupins in my mother's yard in Belleville. Imported from PEI by her. Maybe 3 feet high, florettes all around 360°.
So many dead/dying Ash trees around. Also, the geese-prevention fence is short and cute and I'm told it is effective.
Wow Friedman (1957) was only 5 years old when my dad wrote his paper. That's fresh. Paper argues in favour of a Friedman view of consumption /income relationship. It is actually a pretty well done paper! Unfortunately, can't see what grade Prof. Smith assigned. Must've been on a separate sheet.
Looks like this was from 1962, when my dad was a masters student at Queen's. Dr. D.C. Smith is this distinguished academic: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_C.... www.queensu.ca/encyclopedia... He was Principal as Queen's when I was there in the 90s. He was a young pup of 31 in 1962!
A mix of who I'd like to see and who I think are the best. I don't think the all-star team should be the 'max OPS at each position' team. I want to see stars! Really think Ern-Dog deserves it, especially after getting robbed in TWO gold glove categories last year.
Received a few informational emails from UBC about the world cup. Traffic, transit, some use of UBC facilities by teams. All normal things to be advised about in advance. But the emails refer crypically to a "global soccer tournament". Seems weird. Why not "World Cup". Copyright issues?
We got Mcadoo for IKF in 2024. That 2024 sell-off was so painful; brings some joy when it bears some fruit.
