Forester uses dick language here, but when I started road riding ages ago, his "Effective Cycling" volume was a thing so many of us read. It kept us from getting squashed. That book even had instructions on how to dump the bike if a collision was inevitable. No idea he had become such a pariah, BUT.

Long story short, I have a new bicycle and it is a berserk rocket sled. For anyone looking for a bicycle that only wants to do one thing, go as freakin' fast as possible, add the Van Rysel RCR F to your short list. Because holy shit.
